RUN OF THE DAY

I Am Zelady is obviously a much stronger mare this preparation, possessing a terrific turn of speed. She bounced back after having a very tough first-up run on a heavy track to win with authority after sitting three and four wide with no cover on Saturday.

This shouldn’t be her last win this campaign judging by that performance.

FORGET THEY RAN

Unfortunately Sure And Fast bled from both nostrils on Saturday and will incur a mandatory three-month ban. Let’s hope he comes back better than ever in the autumn.

Bank On Henry found trouble early in the straight in the TAB Highway Handicap race and should have fought the finish out.

THE BLACK BOOK

Ghisoni is a lovely filly who oozes class. She is still learning what it’s all about and when she learns how to pin her ears back and savage the line she could develop into a class act.

RIDE OF THE DAY

Brenton Avdulla’s winning double on Royal Jackpot and Villiers contender Happy Clapper were mistake-free rides.

I love putting my money on him as he as more than often reads the play well and knows who he is following in a race.
