RANDWICK

Track: Good 4. Rail: True

RACE 1: MIDWAY HANDICAP (1000m)

Overview: Interesting race to kick off the day. I thought the gap between Delexo and Capital Reign was a bit too big and both horses should roll forward and give a good kick here. Ashema needs a bit of luck from the draw but she was good against the pattern first up and should be strong late. Don Luigi looms as the roughie and he can often run a cheeky race fresh.

BETTING: ADVICE: Leaning to Delexo and Ashema.

RACE 2: KEENELAND GIMCRACK STAKES (1000m)

Overview: Coolangatta looked very good in a recent Kensington trial and I loved her action. She should be strong late here. Drisana was also very strong late in a recent Kensington trial on the same day and she looks the danger. Wild Botanica looks next best but the market might tell us more late here.

BETTING: ADVICE: Coolangatta to win.

RACE 3: ARROWFIELD BREEDERS’ PLATE (1000m)

Overview:Victory Moments has had the benefit of two trials and he should be strong late here. Kibou went straight to the front in a recent Kensington trial and he was very strong through the line. He should be well prepped up for this. Sejardan missed the start in a recent trial but he was super strong late and looks to have talent.

Advice:Victory Moments to win. Sejardan not hopeless at odds.

RACE 4: TAB HANDICAP (1600m)

Overview:The scratching of Brookspire has thrown this race wide open. The one that interests me at odds is Five Kingdom. He did a good job fresh and he has some nice figures down south last prep. Taksu is building nicely this prep but would like more rain. Kiss The Bride, Kordia and Wairere Falls are all capable.

Advice:Five Kingdom at the odds.

RACE 5: YULONG HILL STKES (2000m)

Overview:Think It Over finds a lovely race here and he had no luck whatsoever when caught wide last start on a day where the fence was worth plenty. He went well when up to 2000m last prep and this looks his race. Keiai Nautique was super fresh and then just got too far back last start off the slow tempo. He looks the danger. Duais will improve out to 2000m but up to weight for age might just catch her out here.

BETTING: ADVICE: Think It Over to win.

SuperCoach Racing is back for 2021

RACE 6: ACY SECURITIES PREMIERE STAKES (1200m)

Overview:Fascinating race. Lost And Running was caught in a bad spot fresh and he clearly went too bad to be true. He can bounce back here. Masked Crusader has a bad habit of missing the jump but he pulled up slow to recover last start and is much better than that. Rothfire went well fresh and will take natural improvement, while Jonker pulled up lame last start and is also right in this if the track is dry.

BETTING: ADVICE: Rothfire could be hard to catch if the track is dry.

RACE 7: DARLEY FLIGHT STAKES (1600m)

Overview:I’ve been desperate to find another form line to the Tea Rose and we have found it with Startantes. She ran a bottler in the Golden Rose and beat home Jamaea there who defeated most of those that ran in the Tea Rose the start prior. She just needs to extend out to the mile to be hard to beat here. Fangirl is the X-factor here and she bolted in at Goulburn last start and profiles like 1600m will suit. There’s a heap on that next line but happy to be with the different form line.

BETTING: ADVICE: Startantes to win.

RACE 8: TAB EPSOM (1600m)

Overview:Good edition of the TAB Epsom. Aramayo sets up well here and he has been outstanding from wide barriers this prep. He can settle much closer here and he should be in the finish. Riodini has a big ratings edge on these and it’s just a case of whether he can reproduce what he has done his past two starts with more company on speed. He is very well in though. Mo’Unga, Icebath and Private Eye on the next line.

BETTING: ADVICE: Riodini and Aramayo.

RACE 9: HEINEKEN METROPOLITAN (2400m)

Overview:No Compromise profiles well at odds and he should have bolted home in the Newcastle Gold Cup. He gets in nice and light and just wants a bit of rain. Entente looks the map horse and his win in the Colin Stephen Quality last start rates well. Zeyrek comes right into play now he has got a run and he should love 2400m. She’s Ideel looks next best but there are many hopes at odds as well.

BETTING: ADVICE: Entente and Zeyrek if dry, No Compromise if wet.

RACE 10: CLEANAWAY HANDICAP (1200m)

Overview:Weather conditions look key here. Gravina relishes wet ground and he was good first up and can bounce off that. Which Big Parade turns up? There’s two of him. The best version will probably lead comfortably and win, the other version runs fourth or fifth. Fender and Prime Candidate on the next line, while Quantico has strong claims if the track isn’t too wet.

BETTING: ADVICE: Gravina to win.
