Talented filly Secreetly Discreet finally gets her chance to breakthrough win when she contests a maiden at Sale on Monday, according to form analyst Michael Manley.
BEST BET
SECREETLY DISCREET (R2, No. 10 $1.80)
Hard to believe she’s still a maiden after four runs as she shapes as a talented filly. She hasn’t had a lot of luck and she’s managed to run in maidens with depth. Finished off nicely last start for second to Our Campana at Pakenham.
NEXT BEST
ANGEL LASS (R5, No. 4 $1.55)
City class filly who looks well placed in this. Last preparation she finished second first-up at Sandown Lakeside behind My Pendant after having had a tough run.
MI KIRI PI (R6 No. 3 $4)
Three-year-old filly improving with every start. Fought hard to win her maiden last start at Bendigo. Might have more upside than her rivals.
VALUE RUNNER
ROAR (R8, No. 2 $6.50)
On-pacer whose best form is on firm tracks so forget his last start failure at Terang. He’s a better horse on his day than a Benchmark 58 class.
VIDEO WATCH
DUNS ‘N’ ROSES (R1, No. 12 $12)
Luckless last start at Terang as she was held up before the turn and then well into the straight before running on in steady fashion. Step up to 2200m should suit.
THE JOCKEY
Michael Dee followed his double at Flemington on Thursday with a win in the feature race at Caulfield, The Showdown on Saturday. He has seven rides with several good chances headed by SAYL (R3, No. 9 $2.60), ANGEL LASS (R5, No. 4 $1.55),
and MI KIRI PI (R6, No. 3 $4) and ROAR (R8, No. 2 $6.50).
