BEAT THE BOOKIE: VALUE BETS
RANDWICK
RAY THOMAS (Daily Telegraph). Form: x82x2
RICH ENUFF
Race 8, No. 10
Had only one trial going into the Southern Cross Stakes but still looked likely to win until his condition gave out in the last 100m and he was edged out by the fast finishing Big Money and Decision Time. Big, gross sprinter who will strip much fitter here. Drawn ideally in barrier two and will be up on the speed from the jump. Looks very well placed today.
TAB Fixed Odds: $5
NIC ASHMAN (Daily Telegraph). Form: 5x141
STAY WITH ME
Race 5, No. 3
Gun filly that had nothing go right first-up. Her speed ratings are well beyond these and from a better draw looks the one to beat.
TAB Fixed Odds: $4.40
STABLE WATCH: THE INSIDE MAIL FOR RANDWICK
STEPHEN ZAMMIT (Daily Telegraph). Form: 43126
TELPERION
Race 2, No. 1
This two-year-old looks a star of the future, and gave his rivals a galloping lesson at this track on February 13. Looks ready to win this and then tackle the major classic races this season.
TAB Fixed Odds: $2.30
JOHN DAVIS (Daily Telegraph). Form: 22158
GHISONI
Race 5, No. 7
Was scratched from the Light Fingers Stakes a fortnight ago to be saved for this assignment and her trackwork and trial form has been faultless. Tough nut to crack.
TAB Fixed Odds: $2.80
SHAYNE O’CASS (Sportsman). Form: 64341
GENERALIFE
Race 8, No. 5
He was trialling well ahead of his return to racing in the G3 Southern Cross here on February 13, when $2.80 out to $5. The son of Lonhro dwelt at the start and was back last until the rise from which point he ran on quite well to be beaten 1.5-lengths by Big Money (races here). It was a good return under the circumstances and he is 6s 2-0-1 when second-up and is 8s 4-2-2 at or around the 1300m.
TAB Fixed Odds: $5.50
DARREN PRENDERGAST (Superracing). Form: 14721
SOLICIT
Race 6, No. 3
No Winx to contend with here and should prove too strong for her rivals.
TAB Fixed Odds: $2.50
CHRIS VERNUCCIO (Superracing). Form: 33x51
SOLICIT
Race 6, No. 3
Gave super mare Winx a scare last start, with a gap to the rest of the field in the Apollo Stakes. Third up, she looks ready to win.
TAB Fixed Odds: $2.50

CAULFIELD
MATT STEWART (Herald Sun). Form: 31x221
TURN ME LOOSE
Race 6, No. 3
Will improve in leaps and bounds off good firstup run when worked early. Too classy.
TAB Fixed Odds: $3.20
THE EARLY OIL: CAULFIELD
MICHAEL MANLEY (Herald Sun). Form: 31x221
AZKADELLIA
Race 9, No. 10
Resumed with brilliant first-up second, running the fastest last 200m for the meeting. Making it even more impressive was that her trainer Ciaron Maher had a lot of improvement to come. Should be suited by likely speed and 1400m second up.
TAB Fixed Odds: $2.40
DARYL TIMMS (Herald Sun). Tipsters’ form: 11251
AZKADELLIA
Race 9, No. 10
Jumped awkwardly at last run when started favourite and just got rolled. Will bounce back here.
TAB Fixed Odds: $2.40
NICK QUINN (TAB). Form: 15491
MAHUTA
Race 4, No. 1
He’s won six straight and everything points to him winning again. Unbeaten at Caulfield so double your money on him continuing that record.
TAB Fixed Odds: $1.95

DOOMBEN
NATHAN EXELBY (The Courier-Mail). Form: 121x71
SATIRICAL LASS
Race 4, No. 6
Clocked Group class figures in the two Doomben wins before a spell, with trainer revealing he is now training her as a specialist sprinter. Has trialled well in readiness for this and even though she will be short of peak fitness, can prove too classy resuming.
TAB Fixed Odds: $2.20
BEN DORRIES (The Courier-Mail). Form: 21266
SOMEDAY
Race 4, No. 1
Been absolutely bursting to win and was incredibly unlucky last time. Very well weighted, with two kilograms off thanks to claiming apprentice. Looks a great race for a play, because Tony Gollan stablemate Satirical Lass (the favourite) looks the only other danger. Keen on backing Someday to win and going (extremely) hard at the Someday-Satirical Lass quinella!
TAB Fixed Odds: $3.60
BRAD DAVIDSON (Gold Coast Bulletin). Form: 46776
KUDERO
Race 3, No. 7
This five-year-old has really turned the corner in recent months winning three of his past four starts. His sectionals have been outstanding lately and the $7-8 on offer looks a terrific price in this race. I’ve rated him as a $4 chance and as long as he settles in the run he should finish over the top of these.
TAB Fixed Odds: $7

MORPHETTVILLE
BEN SCADDEN (The Advertiser). Form: 26151
ECLAIR ATTACK
Race 2, No. 3
Quality three-year-old with slick turn of foot. He hasn’t raced since finishing down the track in Group 3 company at Caulfield in October but tuned up for this with solid trial placing recently and has the class to deliver a bold first-up effort.
TAB Fixed Odds: $4.20
