OUR experts try to boost your bank balance with the best value bets of the weekend in the major cards around the nation.
Last week ... Our experts nailed six winners across four states. The Advertiser’s Lincoln Moore and Ben Scadden were on the money with Tidy Prophet ($7.50) and Karlovasi ($6) at Morphettville. Their success was matched by Ray Thomas (Moral Victory, $5) and Nathan Exelby (Mr Jetset, $7), while Chris Vernuccio (Royal Rapture, $3.30) and Nick Quinn (Bon Aurum, $4.40) had success at Caulfield.

BRAD DAVIDSON & SHAYNE O’CASS PREVIEW EPSOM DAY AT RANDWICK
MOONEE VALLEY (Friday night)
MATT STEWART (Herald Sun) Form: 464x3
SADAQA
Race 1, No. 4
Had a handful of runs in and now ready to fire. This is his track/distance.
TAB Fixed Odds: $7.50
MICHAEL MANLEY (Herald Sun) Form: 15218
MISS ROSE DE LAGO
Race 6, No. 2
Was too bad to be true at Moonee Valley last start but had plenty of excuses. Go on her win this track and distance in the Sunline Stakes last autumn and also the Lawrence Stakes two starts ago.
TAB Fixed Odds: $4.60
SIMON MOY (SuperRacing). Form: 34707
REAL LOVE
Race 3, No. 1
Expect to show improvement on last-start 7th of 16 in Naturalism Stakes (2000m) at Caulfield. Fitter third-up and has nice draw to figure in finish.
TAB Fixed Odds: $3.80

RANDWICK (Saturday)
RAY THOMAS (Daily Telegraph). Form: 32821
TORGERSEN
Race 7, No. 12
He is an improving galloper and did very well when closing late for second to Sons Of John in the Bill Ritchie Handicap. He was three wide facing the breeze most of the race, was out-sprinted at the 400m but rallied very gamely late to almost overhaul the winner. Torgersen looms as the each-way value in a very open Epsom.
TAB Fixed Odds: $26
BRAD DAVIDSON (Daily Telegraph). Form: 02058
DIBAYANI
Race 7, No. 6
I’ve tipped Mackintosh on top in the Epsom but you could do worse than back Mackintosh and Heavens Above ($17) to win and have something on Dibayani for the place. That’s the way I’ll be attacking the race.
TAB Fixed Odds: $7.25 (place)
STEPHEN ZAMMIT (Daily Telegraph). Form: 22006
MAGIC HURRICANE
Race 8, No. 4
A proven stayer who won this race last year, the O’Shea-trained gelding couldn’t sprint when needed in the Randwick G2 Hill Stakes September 17. Carried 55.5kg last year and actually drops a kilo here. He has had the three runs back from a spell and is going to be cherry ripe for this assignment. Can win it again.
TAB Fixed Odds: $9.50
JOHN DAVIS (Daily Telegraph). Form: 04404
NEMRUD
Race 4, No. 8
Was cut out at the top of the straight when about to unleash a powerful finish at Warwick Farm last start. Won’t mind the cut out of the ground or the three-kilogram drop in weight either.
TAB Fixed Odds: $5
SHAYNE O’CASS (Sportsman). Form: 07103
BOWERMAN
Race 2, No. 1
Michael Freedman and the China Horse Club team up here with this $525,000 Magic Millions yearling who won the first heat at the official trials here and I looked at my notes and it said something like ‘pacy type, ready-made racehorse, perfect trial’. Great each-way chance.
TAB Fixed Odds: $21
DARREN PRENDERGAST (SuperRacing). Form: 40480
WHO SHOT THEBARMAN
Race 8, No. 1
Veteran stayer ready to peak fourth-up after second behind Hartnell in the Hill Stakes. Finished second in The BMW over 2400m in the autumn and has the services of master distance jockey Hugh Bowman. Excellent chance.
TAB Fixed Odds: $7

FLEMINGTON (Sunday)
DARYL TIMMS (Herald Sun) Form: 39198
LIDARI
Race 9, No. 2
Excellent first-up form and will take plenty of catching in this.
TAB Fixed Odds: $21
CHRIS VERNUCCIO (SuperRacing). Form: 52x91
TELOPEA
Race 8, No. 11
She’s finished eighth in her past two starts but there was so much merit in those performances than it reads on paper. Drawn wide both runs, she was competitive last week at Group 1 level and the run before was only beaten 1.4 lengths after she was forced to settle last in a field of 16. This time she gets an inside gate to push forward and has Damien Oliver back on.
TAB Fixed Odds: $6
NICK QUINN (TAB). Form: 37221
RAW IMPULSE
Race 7, No. 13
Has won four of his six Australian starts and had genuine excuses in his two defeats.
TAB Fixed Odds: $9

DOOMBEN (Saturday)
NATHAN EXELBY (The Courier-Mail). Form: 62881
SEA RED
Race 7, No. 8
Had a poor record at the old Eagle Farm and no surprises she’s failed twice on the new surface. Back to Doomben is a big plus. A lot of these are coming out of restricted grade to this Open event, where she is more exposed to this type of class. If they are running on, she will be powering home at the end and $15 is appealing against this lot.
TAB Fixed Odds: $13
MARKETS: TAB FIXED ODDS
MORPHETTVILLE (Saturday)
BEN SCADDEN (The Advertiser). Form: 87521
TOYSHOP
Race 4, No. 12
Should find this much more to her liking than last start in Listed company. Shouldn’t have any problems with potentially heavy ground and expect her to be prominent for a long way at good each-way odds.
TAB Fixed Odds: $4.80
LINCOLN MOORE (The Advertiser). Form: 16031
CASINO WIZARD
Race 6, No. 1
Quality type resuming and hard not to like the way he raced last time in work. Defeated Voodoo Lad three starts back and then Shaf here over the 1250m last time in and, while he’s never won first-up, he never runs a bad race. Should run a cheeky race over the 1000m at nice odds.
TAB Fixed Odds: $9
