Boasts a fantastic strike rate first-up and although would appear awkwardly drawn, his normal pattern is to get back and charge home. Chances will hinge on how the track is playing but I’m prepared to put my money where my mouth is and say he’ll come down the grandstand side with a jet-propelled rush.

Both were ‘ticks’ for a 1400m first-up race. Looks very good each-way value.

Is best on wet ground and though the track will be trying, still should get some cut out of the ground. Obviously the fav Coolring has formlines that say he is hard to beat, but home-ground advantage is worth a fortune around this track.

It was billed as a clash between Via Sistina and Ceolwulf but Fangirl had other ideas as she stormed home to make it back-to-back wins in the Group 2 Apollo Stakes at Randwick.
Lady Shenandoah all class in arrogant return win
Lady Shenandoah is now an odds-on favourite for the Group 1 Surround Stakes after her brilliant first-up win despite the possible presence of unbeaten stablemate Autumn Glow.
