Last week … four winners. Glenn McFarlane, Simon Moy and Chris Vernuccio were all over Behemoth ($3.80), while Nooch snared the double with Orderofthegarter ($3.20). Stephen Brassel was spot on with Probabeel ($2.45) and Jett Hatton delivered with It’s Me ($1.85).

MASKED CRUSADER (Race 9, No. 5 — $1.95)
Has raced without luck in successive starts as odds-on favourite this campaign. Drawn perfectly in gate two, Masked Crusader should get the run of the race and just needs galloping room from the turn. Promising young sprinter who deserves another chance. This is his race.

LOVE TAP (Race 4, No. 3 — $2.25)
An unbeaten son of the great American sire Tapit. There is a fair chance that Love Tap will be in Melbourne at the same time; only in his case, in the VRC Derby. Loaded with potential.

DARREN PRENDERGAST (NewsRacing). Form: 1x154
HAUT BRION HER (Race 8, No.2 — $2.40)
Kicked off her spring campaign with a win at Rosehill to maintain her perfect record at the track. She is also unbeaten second-up. Stick with her.

STEPHEN BRASSEL (National Racing Editor). Form: 331
MARBOOSHA (Race 5, No. 12 — $8)
Form reads well with a decisive victory over favourite Forbidden Love and trialled well for her return.
Value bet: STAR KAREN (Race 3, No. 15 — $34)
JETT HATTON (Racenet). Form: 131
SHE’S IDEEL (Race 3, No. 14 — $4.20)
Has returned two good runs since resuming and is ready to win on Saturday. Does rise in grade but gets way down in the weights with just 53.5kg and the step up to 1900m will suit. Unbeaten third-up and not expecting that to change.

CLINTON PAYNE (Racenet). Form: 317
WILD RULER (Race 5, No. 1 — $5.50)
Horses do not trial better than this horse has leading up to his racetrack return on Saturday. If he runs up to his preparations, he’ll take plenty of beating.

GLENN McFARLANE (Herald Sun). Form: 20126
RUSSIAN CAMELOT (Race 8, No. 10 — $1.95)
Has the potential to be a superstar. Should have won first-up and looks like a good thing here.

SIMON MOY (NewsRacing). Form: 40126
RUSSIAN CAMELOT (Race 8, No. 10 — $1.95)
The obvious choice. Providing monster Makybe Diva first-up run hasn’t flattened him, should be winning here.
Value bet: MOZZIE MONSTER (Race 7, No. 8 — $6)
CHRIS VERNUCCIO (NewsRacing). Form: 11381
INSTANT CELEBRITY (Race 7, No. 4 — $3.10)
Few horses can win in the manner she did first-up at Morphettville when she flew home from last in incredible closing sectionals. The unbeaten SA filly will only get better stepping up to 1400m and even further.
Value bet: CROSSHAVEN (Race 6, No. 3 — $8.50)
NICK QUINN (TAB). Form: 11122
RUSSIAN CAMELOT (Race 8, No. 10 — $1.95)
He has been widely described as the most exciting horse on the planet and looks the one to beat in the Group 1 Underwood Stakes at Caulfield on Saturday. The South Australian Debry winner resumed with an enormous first-up run in the Makybe Diva and should win.

NATHAN EXELBY (The Courier-Mail). Form: 12s35
THE ACTUARY (Race 4, No. 6 — $2.80)
She’s the one best served by the set weights of this race and will relish the step to 1600m. Did enough resuming under the big weight at 1350m and now strikes a pretty average looking field.

MORPHETTVILLE PARKS
WARREN PARTLAND (The Advertiser). Form: 2s
SADENTE (Race 4, No. 4 — $2.40)
Won over 1400m here three runs back and two runs since have been very handy. Ran home powerfully to finish close third here, then Todd Pannell could not get a run until too late at Murray Bridge. Deserves another win and retaining Pannell helps.
