Fields released for day one and two of Wagga Wagga carnival

The full set of fields for day one and two of the Wagga Wagga carnival have dropped.

A handful of leading chances for Thursday’s Wagga Town Plate (1200m) have had their chances dented after drawing wide.

Topweight Handle The Truth was among the 22 acceptors on Tuesday and is set to jump from barrier 14 in the sprinting feature

Irish Songs, winner of the race in 2020, has similar fortune after being handed the carpark draw while Country Championships Final winner Another One will step from barrier 13.

Talented galloper Front Page has better luck ahead of his return after being handed gate six at Tuesday morning’s barrier draw.

The Listed winner turned in three runs last preparation after returning from an injury that sidelined him for close to a year.

Meanwhile, VRC Derby winner Warning headlines a field of 16 for Friday’s Wagga Gold Cup (2000m).

His chances have also taken a hit following the barrier draw after being handed the carpark draw.

Along with Warning, trainers Anthony and Sam Freedman have progressive stayer Ain’tnodeeldun in the race but he will jump from barrier 12.

Smart import Numerian on the other hand is set to launch from the inside gate with Tommy Berry set to ride while the Gerald Ryan and Sterling Alexiou-trained Reggiewood is drawn one outside him.

Other feature races across Friday’s card include the Wagga Guineas (1600m) and Queen Of The South for fillies and mares.
