HOT TIPS: WEEKEND BEST BETS
ROSEHILL
RAY THOMAS (Daily Telegraph). Form: 80051
LANI GIRL
Race 6, No. 9
Is a handy mare with a powerful finishing surge. She is racing well including her win at Kembla Grange three starts back. This is a harder race but the big Rosehill track suits her, she has champion jockey Hugh Bowman to ride and she is good each-way value. This race should be run at a genuine tempo and it gives Lani Girl the chance to cause and upset.
TAB Fixed Odds: $21
NIC ASHMAN (Daily Telegraph). Form: 01810
ECKSTEIN
Race 2, No. 12
Looks a filly loaded with ability and her recent trial win was huge. Draws well and out of town jockey Heather Poland knows her well.
TAB Fixed Odds: $11
STEPHEN ZAMMIT (Daily Telegraph). Form: 34x64
FALKENBERG
Race 5, No. 9
A filly from the Snowden team, she won in fine style at Hawkesbury then was not disgraced at Warwick Farm on March 9. Raced away to win at that track last start and can do it again this week.
TAB Fixed Odds: $3
SHAYNE O’CASS (Sportsman). Form: 57308
DANCE OF HEROES
Race 7, No. 7
Dance Of Heroes is quite a good horse when fresh 5s 2-0-1, while he is 10s 1-2-3 at home and 1s 1w at the distance. Was doing his best work over the last 300m in recent trial. Represents grand each-way value.
TAB Fixed Odds: $21
DARREN PRENDERGAST (SuperRacing). Form: 04195
PRINCEFAMOUS
Race 9, No. 2
Talented sprinter is unbeaten first-up and has the services of gun jockey Hugh Bowman. Tuned up for return with two trials and will go close again.
TAB Fixed Odds: $7

CAULFIELD
MATT STEWART (Herald Sun). Form: 11x01
PITTSBURGH FLYER
Race 8, No. 4
Forget last run, excellent in Oakleigh Plate, which has been excellent form race.
TAB Fixed Odds: $6
MICHAEL MANLEY (Herald Sun). Form: 84187
KAREEMING
Race 9, No. 12
Returned to form with good second in hot form race behind Velox at Mornington last start. Once hits form tends to hold it. Also winner last May this track and distance easily.
TAB Fixed Odds: $6.50
DANNY RUSSELL (Herald Sun) Form: 86182
MEFNOODA
Race 5, No. 9
Price-Newitt on their home track, she raced at Group 3 level in her first prep and should go close here.
TAB Fixed Odds: $4.60
SIMON MOY (SuperRacing). Form: 38021
STOKER
Race 7, No. 4
Gets decent weight relief and drawn well here. Should have won at Mornington. Redemption awaits at good odds.
TAB Fixed Odds: $4.80
NICK QUINN (TAB). Form: 32108
PILLY’S WISH
Race 2, No. 1
Consistent mare who has won two of four when first-up.
In well at the weights after the claim for apprentice Ben Allen and looks a smart each-way bet.
TAB Fixed Odds: $6

SUNSHINE COAST
NATHAN EXELBY (The Courier-Mail). Form: 92040
HOPFGARTEN
Race 7, No. 1
Worthy Cause had the wood on him in the spring/late summer, but there wasn’t a lot between them and Hopf is the better value here. Should have finished much closer in the G1 Sir Rupert Clarke 1st up last prep, then the prep just didn’t pan out after that. He’s a gun fresh and his only previous attempt at this venue produced a big win in the Sunshine Coast Guineas.
TAB Fixed Odds: $7.50

MORPHETTVILLE
BEN SCADDEN (The Advertiser). Form: 65653
LA PASSE
Race 6, No. 8
Back-to-back Group 2 winner during the Melbourne Spring Carnival and has good first-up record with a win and second from two attempts. Wasn’t far off them in Group 1 grade last time and should enjoy perfect trip just off the speed from barrier two with Luke Currie on board.
TAB Fixed Odds: $7.50
LINCOLN MOORE (The Advertiser). Form: 13382
SUPER CASH
Race 8, No. 8
Exciting filly who comes to Adelaide in great form. She ran well first-up at Group 3 level before winning smartly at Flemington and was then heavily backed before getting a long way out of her ground on a soft track at Randwick before flashing home late. Hard to beat.
TAB Fixed Odds: $2.80
CHRIS VERNUCCIO (SuperRacing). Form: 48112
MISS GUNPOWDER
Race 8, No. 1
Nice return when second, does go up a ½kg but will be fitter and gets an easier run from barrier 1 and has Dom Tourneur on board.
TAB Fixed Odds: $4.50
