JOCKEY Dean Yendall has not been fined by racing stewards after telling a national television audience he had a ‘raging horn” following his Group 1 Myer Classic win today.

Moments after the race while being interviewed on live television, Yendall told Channel Seven he had a “a raging horn.”

Viewers watching the coverage could clearly hear the comments, with several commenting via social media.

The jockey was later called to the stewards room to explain his comments, but no action was taken.

In fact, Victoria’s chief steward Terry Bailey sympathised with Yendall.

“What do you expect when you have a microphone thrust in your face straight after a race,” Bailey told News Limited.

“It is a time when emotions can get the better of you.”

Bailey added that Yendall was warned about his language, but said it was difficult for the jockey to contain his emotions after the big race win.

Yendall used a similar comment during a radio interview before the Cox Plate.

Yendall had waited 32 years for his first Group 1, which he enjoyed when Yankee Rose won the Spring Champion at Randwick earlier this month.

He didn’t have to wait 32 years for another one and the lightweight rider was the perfect pilot for I Am A Star, guiding her along near the front and giving an almighty kick with only 49kg on her back.
