Matthew Johns always wanted to be in a wet t-shirt competition. On Thursday night in Paris, he got his wish.

As a torrential downpour prompted other television crews to flee for their lives, Johns and James Magnussen - filming Friday’s (AEST) Matty and Missile podcast - stood their ground.

“The show must go on,” Johns said.

Astonished French locals including members of the police force were stunned.

“I think it could be our best episode yet” said Johns.

“It has been an almost unprecedented 24 hours here in Paris as far as controversy and drama is concerned.”
