It’s a tough life being the most successful Australian Olympian of all time in individual events.
Just ask Jess Fox, who woke the morning after winning gold in the canoe slalom needing a tonic after a hard day’s work.
Fox took to Instagram to share her beauty tips – but her methods are unlikely to be available to most mere mortals.
Fox, who has been sharing photos of press clippings and coverage of her races as well as support from Aussie fans at home and in Paris, posted a reel to social media on Thursday morning Paris time.
In it, she has a unique method for “de-puffing” her eyes, using a gold medal to cool the skin under her left eye socket and rest on her eye, before picking up another gold and repeating the method on her right eye.
She’s in line to win another medal yet, with kayak cross making its debut at the Olympics and Fox and younger sister Noemie in action in time trials from 12.40am (AEST) on Saturday.
There seems little chance of a letdown for Fox, who has managed a marathon program that included carrying the Australian flag at the opening ceremony and starting competition less than 24 hours later.
The expected comedown after winning a coveted K1 gold didn’t happen and Fox is riding Cloud Nine for as long as possible at what she’s described as a “magical” Games.
