‘An Olympic moment’: Undies cause meltdown as dad bod steals show

The swimming at the Paris La Defence Arena was halted temporarily with a mysterious underwear-clad figure stealing the show.
The rude disruption came as the women’s 100m breaststroke heats came to a standstill when officials spotted an object floating in the middle of the pool.
It took several minutes for a saviour to emerge with a random official diving into the pool to retrieve what was eventually revealed to be a lost swimming cap.
A global TV audience watched on as the Adonis stripped down and smirked when a wolf-whistle could be heard around the arena.
The swimming world immediately fell in love with the unexpected figure and his dad bod physique.
The man showed off for the crowd by diving into the pool from the starter’s blocks and waving to the crowd as he climbed out the side of the pool.
He got a huge ovation from the crowd as held the cap aloft while walking off the pool deck.
“That was an Olympic moment,” a Eurosport commentator giggled during the broadcast.
Swimming commentator Bob Ballard said on the global TV feed the broadcast had been “derailed” when the crowd went into meltdown while cheering on the unknown individual.
The mock-hero moment has fans on social media comparing the dive to the iconic performance of Eric Moussambani at the Sydney 2000 Olympics.
The Equatorial Guinea swimmer was cheered on as he swam a solo heat, finishing the 100m at a snail pace.
He was given a warm reception by the crowd when he eventually reached the finish line.
The event was famously broadcast on Aussie TV screens with a mock world record line on Channel 7’s The Dream, hosted by comedy duo Roy Slaven and HG Nelson.
