What’s the Buzz: Greg Inglis and Blake Ferguson loving life off the field

Greg Inglis’ ex-wife and new partner enjoy each other’s company at the footy, while the granddaughter of a racing great has helped turn around the life of Eels winger Blake Ferguson.

Rabbitohs superstar Greg Inglis had the biggest cheer squad at the SCG on Friday night — his ex-wife Sally and their two children sitting happily alongside GI’s new girlfriend Alyse Caccamo.

Sally Inglis, who now lives in Brisbane with their children, even posed for photographs with Alyse and Adam Reynolds’ wife Tallara (in the background) during the Rabbitohs’ match against the Sydney Roosters.

She later posted the picture on Instagram, included Caccamo, and commented: “Watching Dad. Go Rabbitohs. @tallareynolds @alyse.”

Caccamo works for the NRL as head of major events and has been with Inglis for several months. Their relationship was revealed in The Sunday Telegraph last week.

Inglis stepped out against the Roosters under much scrutiny after an unsettled off-season and reports that he was overweight. He played strongly all night opposite Roosters superstar Latrell Mitchell.

You could almost tell how happy he was away from football … and the photo proved it.

FERGO FINDS LOVE WITH RACING GREAT’S GRANDDAUGHTER

This is the stunning woman who has turned new Parramatta winger Blake Ferguson’s life around.

Dominique Moraitis, 25, is the granddaughter of fruit and vegetable tycoon Nick Moraitis, who owned the champion racehorse Might And Power who won the Melbourne Cup, Cox Plate and was Horse of the Year in 1988, ’89.

Ferguson and Dominique have been together since January after being introduced last year, not long after the NSW Blues Origin star split from his long-time partner and mother of his two children.

Her father, Paul Moraitis, is the chairman of Morco Fresh.

“We’re really happy,” Ferguson said. “She helps me out so much. I get my kids every second weekend and often need a bit of a hand while I’m at footy.

“It’s early days but we’re both really happy.

“I’m lucky to have someone so special.”

Friends say Dominique has had a terrific influence on the once-troubled footy star.

Life could not be any better for the barnstorming winger who revealed he has added 7kg to his already huge frame since last year’s grand final victory with the Roosters.

“I’ve eaten well and worked hard,” Ferguson said. “I’ll start the year at 107kg but I haven’t lost any of my pace or speed off the mark. I’m hoping to be an even stronger player this year.”

Away from football, the 29-year-old is also starting to plan for rugby league retirement.

He recently enrolled in a carpentry course with teammate Jaeman Salmon at Gymea Tech which they both attend two days a week.

“I’ve got a few years of footy left but I’ll need a trade when I retire,” Ferguson said.

“We’re really enjoying the course and it’s nice to have challenges outside of footy. It’s all about staying busy and being happy.”
