1. THE NRL has to clarify The Bunker’s shocking decision to award Roosters debutant Sean O’Sullivan a try in which he clearly knocked the ball on. The decision was a black eye for the game and was crucial in the result.

2. THE Titans are still a mathematical chance of making the finals but their terrible points differential could hurt. The Gold Coast are sitting 12th on the ladder with a -113 points difference and need to win their remaining seven games by big margins to have any chance.

3. THE Roosters are lurking but do they have the firepower to be an NRL premiership threat? Sydney stars Cooper Cronk, Dylan Napa, Latrell Mitchell and James Tedesco sat out Sunday night’s match and while the Roosters won they have been far from convincing all year.

4. THE Gold Coast is the land of the Jais. Queensland Origin prop Jai Arrow was ruled out with a corked knee and was replaced by debutant Jai Whitbread, the son of former Canterbury and Gold Coast first-grader Greg Whitbread.

5. THE NRL’s scheduling is at times ridiculous. Queensland school holidays ended yesterday and the NRL decided to put on a game at the Gold Coast at 6.30pm on a Sunday night. Why?
