Titans coach Neil Henry says Gold Coast will not chase Robbie Farah

TITANS coach Neil Henry has ruled the Gold Coast out as a destination for Robbie Farah, saying that the club is happy with it’s current hooking options.

GOLD Coast’s multiple hooker options mean they will not make a bid for unwanted Wests Tigers captain Robbie Farah.

The NSW No. 9 has been told he’s free to leave the Tigers at the end of the current NRL season despite having two years to run on his contract.

The Titans have plenty of salary cap room available following Daly Cherry-Evans’ backflip and the impending departures of captain Nate Myles, giant back-rower Dave Taylor and five-eighth Aidan Sezer.

Current Titans player of the year and regular first-choice No. 9 Beau Falloon has also been told he’ll not be offered a contract at the end of the year.

Nathan Friend will return to the Gold Coast in 2016.

But coach Neil Henry has ruled out chasing Farah with youngster Kierran Moseley and utility Daniel Mortimer to be joined by veteran Nathan Friend in the club’s hooker options next season.

“No, there’s not,” Henry said when asked if the Titans had any interest in the 31-year-old.

“We’ll have three hookers there with Friendy coming.”
