Manly centre Moses Suli’s struggles with his fitness have resurfaced again after the Sea Eagles dumped him from their side to take on South Sydney on Saturday.

The Sea Eagles sent out a statement on Tuesday declaring Suli had been “dropped for disciplinary performance standards” with Brendan Elliot and Brad Parker to form the new three-quarter pairing.

Sea Eagles officials weren’t commenting but it’s understood Suli failed to meet the necessary standards with his physical performance in last Saturday’s victory over the New Zealand Warriors.

The Daily Telegraph understands his dumping is not integrity related and that Suli has been struggling with a calf injury which had him in doubt to play the Rabbitohs.

It’s well known the powerful centre has been struggling with weight issues associated with his attitude to training, which have cost him his job at both Canterbury and Wests Tigers.

Coaching staff have sent a clear to the message to the playing group over the fitness standards expected under coach Des Hasler.

Suli’s demise isn’t long term and Manly officials said he could be available for round five when they play Newcastle.
