MANLY chairman Scott Penn says he expects Martin Taupau to honour the final two years of his contract despite speculation the prop wants out.

Taupau has been strongly linked to leaving the Sea Eagles for months. The conjecture ramped up this week with suggestions he had reached out to the Roosters.

The Tricolours’ camp denied they have spoken to Taupau but whispers the New Zealand representative is restless at Brookvale won’t go away.

Despite this, Penn says the prop hasn’t approached Manly about a release.

“It hasn’t even been discussed, so it is not on the radar,” Penn told The Sunday Telegraph.

“He has got another two years on his contract and the Roosters also haven’t spoken to him.”
