COCKY, fun, cheeky or plain arrogant?
Moments after their 12-4 preliminary final win, the victorious Sydney Roosters labelled South Sydney’s famous Book of Feuds the Book of Sooks.
The comment has added yet another contentious chapter between the two great rivals.
On the club’s official Twitter page, which has nearly 69,000 followers, the Roosters posted: “We are GRAND FINALISTS! Put that is your ‘Book of Sooks’ #Eaststowin.”

To be fair, Souths have released several controversial posts throughout the year quoting Russell Crowe’s Book of Feuds.
South Sydney chief executive Blake Solly wasn’t offended but Rabbitohs fans vented their anger at the post on social media.
One said: “More than double membership numbers (than the Roosters) and far more premierships. But sure, whatever you say.
Another posted: “How gracious.”
And another: “Just a bunch of rich exalted snobs.”
One wrote: “Forever in our shadow and we don’t try and buy premierships.”
And they kept coming.
“Beat Melbourne first, then gloat.”
“21 (premierships), all earnt, not purchased.”
“Will get smashed in the grand final. Have fun, lol.”
Solly though wasn’t irritated or upset.
“It’s cheeky but they won. It’s frustrating we didn’t win,” Solly said. “We thought it was more cheeky than cocky or arrogant.
“It didn’t bother us at all. We have used the Book of Feuds pretty well ourselves this year so to the victors go the spoils.
“They won and they can celebrate however they want.

“We are just looking forward to 2019 now and hopefully get a chance to get our revenge.
“We’re really disappointed. We have had a wonderful year but that probably wasn’t our best performance of the season.
“No-one expected us to get to where we got to. It’s set a great platform for 2019 now. We can’t wait to rip in.”
Most in rugby league though enjoyed the banter between Souths and the Roosters.
Certainly, the comment has given even more spice to the dislike both clubs have for one-another.
