Canberra Raiders have a beast on their books.

Gordon Whippy, an 18-year-old unit who holds national swimming and shot put records, has been compared to a young Sonny Bill Williams.

While still learning his craft on the football field, there is no doubting Whippy’s raw strength and talent, with the youngster showing up his Canberra teammates in viral gym challenge Thor’s Hammer.
The challenge requires the subject, who is sitting, to raise a 20kg parallel Olympic barbell over their head while holding the steel from one end. And yes, it’s harder than it sounds - just ask Whippy’s seven teammates who failed the challenge before the Fijian beast lifted the bar with ease, proving worthy of Thor’s Hammer.
