SOUTH SYDNEY RABBITOHS

1. Alex Johnston – 6

Ran well but couldn’t break free.

2. Campbell Graham – 5

Held his own but didn’t stand out in either respect.

3. Greg Inglis – 6

Lifted the tempo in the second half when his team needed him.

4. Dane Gagai – 6

Played like it was a rep game.

5. Robert Jennings – 4

A tough night. Few chances with the ball and made a crucial drop.

6. Cody Walker – 7

Probed and prodded and always looked dangerous but couldn’t break free.

7. Adam Reynolds – 8

Scored all the points and kicked three field goals, literally could not have done more.

8. Tom Burgess – 7

Did a heap of work and was always hard to handle.

9. Damien Cook – 8

Terrific display. Always looked dangerous around the ruck and worked the middle well.

10. George Burgess – 6

Recovered well after an early head knock.

11. John Sutton – 5

Came back after a tough start with some nice touches down the stretch.

12. Angus Crichton – 6

Had some poor lapses of discipline but combined well with Reynolds for Souths’ sole try.

13. Sam Burgess – 6

Didn’t play as many minutes as usual but was effective nonetheless.

14. Hymel Hunt – n/a

Didn’t get on the field.

15. Cameron Murray – 8

He’s a star of the future. When South Sydney needed something in the middle he provided.

16. Jason Clark – 4

Tackled well when he came on but couldn’t make the metres.

17. Dean Britt – 3

Did some good things in a brief cameo.

ST GEORGE ILLAWARRA DRAGONS

1. Matt Dufty – 6

Looked dangerous but couldn’t bust the game open.

2. Nene MacDonald – 8

Close to his side’s best. Did so much tough work from his own end.

3. Zac Lomax – 6

Went head to head with Inglis and did the job. His future will be huge.

4. Tim Lafai – 5

Didn’t see much clean ball.

5. Jordan Pereria – 7

Lots of work and held fast under heavy pressure from Souths.

6. Kurt Mann – 5

Ran well but couldn’t set things up for his outside men.

7. Ben Hunt – 3

Played quite well until the final moment when Saints ran it on the last and handed over possesion on halfway with a minute left. He just can’t let that happen.

8. James Graham - 6

Worked as hard as he could as he always does.

9. Cam McInnes – 6

Lots of tackling but Cook got the better of him again.

10. Leeson Ah Mau – 6

Held up well under heavy pressure.

11. Tyson Frizell – 8

Continued his great form of late and nearly helped steal the game.

12. Tariq Sims – 6

Left injured with 20 to go and was missed.

Imagine how good he’d be on two legs.

15. Jeremy Latimore – 5

Solid as ever in relief of the starters.

Another good showing. He’s a forward with a big future.

Only limited minutes and the pace of the game seemed too much for him.
