Latrell Mitchell’s move from the Sydney Roosters to South Sydney has sent a ripple across betting markets ahead of the 2020 NRL season.
The Rabbitohs have been backed from $15 into $11 to win the premiership with the TAB on the back of the two-time premiership winner’s switch to Redfern.

Souths are equal fourth in the line of betting with Parramatta behind the Sydney Roosters ($4), Melbourne Storm ($6) and Canberra Raiders ($7).
TAB’s Matt Jenkins said Mitchell is one of the few NRL players whose movements can impact the market.
“It’s a huge signing for Souths which has seen them firm to take the title in 2020,” Jenkins said.
“Not many other players in the league possess his talents … similar to Greg Inglis in his prime, keep him fresh and raring for the finals and he will deliver.”
Souths have also moved from $13 into $9 in minor premiership betting while they have tightened from $3.50 into $2.60 to make the top four.
