SEATTLE Super Bowl winner Marshawn Lynch was the star attraction at Redfern Oval on Thursday and was certainly impressed with some of Souths Sydney’s players physiques.

“I believe it’s their halfback, they call him Megatron, Greg (Inglis). He’s a big-ass dude,’’ Lynch told Sport Confidential.

“These guys are all built like linebackers and tight ends.’’

The dreadlocked running back is in town to cheer on his alma mater University of California, who take on Hawaii in the college football season opener at ANZ Stadium on Saturday night.

He also helped launch his own Beast Mode clothing range at Rebel in Bondi Junction last night.

Lynch has nearly 700,000 Twitter followers, and caused a stir in Super Bowl week a few years ago when he attended a press conference and replied to every question, ‘I’m only here so I don’t get fined’’.

Lynch, who tips the scales at 108kg, was handed a South Sydney 3XXXL jersey. For the record, the Bunnies stock up to 7XXXL.

Lynch played in two Super Bowls for the Seattle Seahawks.

He had a lot of respect for Jarryd Hayne, and even communicated with him via social media when he made the move to the Gold Coast.

“That dude is a pretty good athlete, he showed some good qualities of a running back,’’ Lynch said.

The coolest sight was seeing Lynch and his giant entourage leave Redfern and cram into the tiny Honda Civic.

MILLS WANTS A PIECE OF BRONCOS ACTION

AUSSIE NBA star Patty Mills will try to sneak in a trip to Suncorp Stadium next Thursday night to watch his beloved Broncos before he flies back to the US for pre-season training.

There was no disputing Mills’ popularity as he posed for countless photos with his own Olympic teammates when the Australian squad returned from Rio early Wednesday.

Mills revealed he loved Brisbane, and tried to keep up with the NRL results while tied up with his basketball commitments on the other side of the pond.

“A few of the Broncos boys came to San Antonio in the off-season and checked out a few of our games,’’ Mills told Sport Confidential.

“Our physio (Phil Coles) used to work for the Newcastle Knights, so there’s always good banter going on.’’

Mills always loved Darren Lockyer, and was a big fan of current pin-up Sam Thaiday.

NO MEDALS, NO BOOZE

THERE was no booze on the Qantas flight home from Rio for our Olympians. To put that into perspective, those pesky Poms ordered an extra 77 bottles of champers after their brilliant — lottery-inspired — results.

MACK LIGHTS IT UP IN ITALY

MACK Horton may have few friends in China after his “drug cheat’’ jibe at local hero Sun Yang, but the bespectacled 400m freestyle gold medallist is in sweet with the mighty Italians.

Horton and his girlfriend are off to Europe, with their first stop Italy where they will be shown a few of the sights by Italian 1500m swimming gold medallist, Gregorio Paltrinieri.

Who would win out of those two if given a match race over 800m somewhere in the Mediterranean Sea?

Meanwhile, rowing gold medallist Kim Brennan is soon off to Africa to enjoy her honeymoon.

Cate Campbell, who came across as likeable on the TV screen — but even friendlier in real life — told us her highlight was spotting a capybara, the world’s largest rodent.

“It looks like a wombat with long legs. Seeing one strolling around the village, that made my Olympics,’’ Campbell said.
