ONE side put in its best performance of the season while the other put in its worst.

With a a 21-6 scoreline falling the way of the Roosters it isn’t hard to guess which team came out on top in the player ratings.

Check out how each individual scored in the 2018 NRL grand final.

ROOSTERS

1 James Tedesco 9: Will succeed Slater as the best fullback in the world. Brilliant.

2 Daniel Tupou 8: Scored the opener, notched 170m. Big effort from the winger.

3 Latrell Mitchell 8: Officially surpassed his opposite number as the best centre in the NRL.

4 Joseph Manu 7: Saved a certain Munster try and bagged one himself.

5 Blake Ferguson 7: 21 runs for 155 metres, will rue a tough missed chance to jag a try.

6 Luke Keary 9: Thrived with the added responsibility, intercept for Addo-Carr his only pitfall. Outstanding performance.

23 Cooper Cronk 5: As useful as a gelding at stud, but showed his champion qualities nonetheless. Fitting he wore the number 23.

8 Jared Waerea-Hargreaves 8: An opening stint for the ages, enormous.

9 Jake Friend 8: Led the defensive line all night, linebreak led to Munster’s sin-binning. Tenacious.

10 Siosiua Taukeiaho 8: Monstered Melbourne’s middles early to help set up the win.

11 Boyd Cordner 7: 15 runs, 140 metres. Terrific performance.

7 Mitchell Aubusson 7: Joined an elite club of premiership winning 7s.

13 Victor Radley 7: The King of Bronte. Deputised for Cronk at first-receiver.

Interchange:

12 Isaac Liu 6: Maintained the Roosters’ dominance up front when injected into the game.

14 Dylan Napa 4: Reasonable impact in few minutes.

15 Zane Tetevano 6: Bruising off the bench, strong contribution.

17 Ryan Matterson 6: Great impact, created a linebreak from nothing.

STORM

1 Billy Slater 7: The greatest fullback of all-time retires at the peak of his game.

2 Suliasi Vunivalu 5: Produced an awful read for the opening Tupou try, otherwise solid.

3 Will Chambers 4: Will be having Latrell-sized nightmares for years to come. Disappointing.

4 Curtis Scott 6: Made a nice bust, quality performance in limited opportunity.

5 Josh Addo-Carr 5: Made a poor read for Manu’s try, treated the crowd to a runaway try.

6 Cameron Munster 3: Put himself in everything, unfortunately everything went wrong. A stunning double sin bin.

7 Brodie Croft 5: Defended admirably, limited opportunity in attacking territory.

8 Jesse Bromwich 5: Needed to lift for his team in the opening 25 minutes when his pack were blown away.

9 Cameron Smith 5: Failed to notch a run, a rare quiet showing on the big stage.

10 Tim Glasby 3: 18 metres from three runs says it all.

11 Felise Kaufusi 6: Gave everything but had an off night for his immense standards.

12 Joe Stimson 6: Strong performance in a beaten pack.

13 Dale Finucane 6: Hard as nails, a decent outing.

Interchange:

14 Kenny Bromwich 6: Proved a handful off the pine.

15 Christian Welch 4: Solid effort in limited minutes.

16 Brandon Smith 5: The little terrier lifted the energy when introduced.

17 Nelson Asofa-Solomona 6: Several brutal runs in a flat pack.
