Tyrone Peachey’s touching gesture for State of Origin teammate Latrell Mitchell
OPPONENTS tonight but mates always. Latrell Mitchell suffered a distressing neck injury and Tyrone Peachey was sin-binned, so the Panthers flyer went across the aisle to check on his mate.

TYRONE Peachey and Latrell Mitchell might have been opponents on Friday night but they were teammates just last week in Origin I.
So it was no surprise to see Peachey sneak into the Roosters dressing shed to check on his mate midway through Penrith’s 32-6 loss to the Tricolours.
The game was held up for several minutes in the second half after Mitchell suffered a neck injury following a tackle by another Origin star in Nathan Cleary.
Mitchell was taken from the field by the medicab wearing a neck brace.
Shortly thereafter, Peachey was sin-binned by Ben Cummins and the Blues utility ducked across the way to make sure his mate was all right.
Nice to see Tyrone Peachey in the Roosters dressing rooms to check on Latrell Mitchell. Hopefully if both are cleared to play for the Blues in Origin II
