AFTER years of fans rallying against the exorbitant food and drink prices at many stadiums, the NRL has instituted a one-off meal deal at Allianz Stadium for week one of the finals.
For just $5, fans will be able to purchase a pie and soft drink, a massive discount from the normal price of $10.70.
The offer will be available for both matches at Allianz Stadium this weekend, the Roosters-Melbourne clash on Friday night and the Sharks-Rabbitohs sudden death battle on Sunday afternoon.
“We’re always looking at ways to make it more affordable for families to come to the footy,” NRL Head of Football Todd Greenberg said.

“This is the lowest price for a pie and soft drink in decades,” he said.
“The $5 pie and soft drink deal, combined with tickets starting from $20 for the general public, makes it an affordable night of Finals footy action for the entire family.
“Arrive at the game early to take advantage of this pre-game $5 pie and soft drink offer.”
The offer will be available at the southern end of Allianz Stadium in the Sydney Live Plaza complex, not at any of the outlets inside the ground.
