TONY Williams is returning to where it all began, signing a one-year deal with the Parramatta Eels.
The former Origin and Test player made his NRL debut for the club in 2008, playing 11 games, before stints with the Sea Eagles, Bulldogs and Sharks.
Williams was once considered one of the most devastating forwards in rugby league, playing three Tests for Australia and three Origins for NSW in 2012.
However, injury has limited his output in recent seasons and he managed just one game for Cronulla last year before a season-ending ACL rupture.

“Tony will be a great addition to our squad in 2018 and will bring a wealth of experience and depth to our forward pack this season,” Parramatta coach Brad Arthur said.
“Not only will Tony be a welcome addition on the field, but he will also be wealth of knowledge to our established squad.”
“We look forward to welcoming Tony back into the blue and gold, the club where he made his NRL debut a decade ago.”
Williams joins Kane Evans as a new Parramatta recruit ahead of the 2018 season, while speculation continues to swirl that Jarryd Hayne will re-join the Eels.
