TIGERS cult hero Mahe Fonua may not play again this season after suffering a broken arm against the Raiders on Sunday.

Fonua has been ruled out for 6-10 weeks after suffering a heavy knock to his forearm in the 65th minute.

A 10 week absence would see Fonua available for the final week of the regular season in round 25, although with a lack of match fitness he may be eased back through the lower grades.

Fonua has been a revelation for the Tigers since forcing his way into first grade, busting 28 tackles, offloading 21 times and averaging 19 runs and 162 metres per game.

Meanwhile, Michael Morgan and Reagan Campbell-Gillard are officially out of Origin — and four further players are racing the clock following a weekend of injury carnage.

Queensland’s Morgan (torn bicep) will have surgery this week with the Cowboys playmaker facing a lengthy stint on the sideline. The surgeon is yet to put a timeline on his return.

Penrith prop Reagan Campbell-Gillard (broken jaw) is also out of Sunday’s clash in Sydney.

He will miss the rest of the Origin series. “Campbell-Gillard has seen the surgeon. Operation tomorrow. Recovery 6-7 weeks,” tweeted Panthers supremo Phil Gould.

Meanwhile, Origin quartet Billy Slater (hamstring), James Maloney (sciatic nerve), Latrell Mitchell (neck) and Dylan Napa (ankle) are racing the clock for the interstate blockbuster at ANZ Stadium.

Slater was a late withdrawal from Storm’s win over the Knights on Sunday as he battles an ongoing hamstring issue that ruled him out of the Origin opener.

Maloney hobbled through the final moments for Penrith and his injury was considered serious enough for Luke Keary to be drafted into the NSW Origin squad as cover, although Maloney is expected to play.

Mitchell has been cleared of serious injury and named for the Blues, although he is unlikely to train before Thursday ahead of Sunday’s game.

Napa was originally thought to be out for a month but has been cleared of serious injury and is a chance for the Maroons.

Blues enforcer David Klemmer (dangerous contact) can avoid suspension with an early guilty plea and is therefore free to play Origin.

In other injury news from round 15:

* Josh Reynolds (hamstring) was a pre-game withdrawal for the Tigers as he battles an ongoing injury. “Reynolds will miss today (Sunday’s) game but is not expected to miss any further game time with the injury,” the Tigers said.

* Cowboys forward Sam Hoare ruptured his ACL for the second time in 18 months and is out for the season, while Matt Scott (neck) was ruled out pre-game.

* Broncos forward Tevita Pangai Junior (rib cartilage) could miss 2-3 weeks.

* Martin Taupau (hyperextend elbow) received reduced minutes but was cleared of serious injury and returned to the field. Moses Suli (sternum) lasted just 26 minutes and will go for scans.

* George Burgess (quad) is out of England’s Denver Test side. The injury is only minor and he’s a chance of playing for the Rabbitohs following the representative round.

* David Fusitu’a (ankle) was a pre-game withdrawal for the Warriors, while Solomone Kata (hamstring) failed to finish. Forward Adam Blair (dangerous contact - head/neck) is facing 2-3 weeks on the sideline for a tackle on Kyle Feldt. Centre Peta Hiku (dangerous throw) can escape suspension with an early guilty plea.

* Roosters winger Blake Ferguson (leg) limped off in the final moments, while Sio Siua Taukeiaho (birth of child) missed the match.

* Brett Morris (birth of his child) missed Canterbury’s clash against the Titans.

* Luke Lewis (calf) failed to finish for the Sharks. The injury is considered minor, although this is Lewis’s second calf injury of the year so the club is likely to take a cautious approach. Paul Gallen (dangerous contact) can avoid suspension with an early guilty plea.

* Newcastle’s Liam Fitzgibbon (dangerous contact) is facing a 1-2 week suspension.

* Parramatta forward Nathan Brown has been cleared of a serious arm injury and is available for selection next match.

* Roosters centre Joseph Manu (dangerous contact - head/neck) is facing a week on the sideline for a tackle on Penrith’s Tyronne Phillips.

* Jacob Lillyman (abdominal strain) was a pre-game withdrawal for the Knights.
