Broncos toughman Alex Glenn defies a broken wrist to help save a try for Brisbane
ALEX Glenn has produced one of the toughest moments of the season, defying the pain of a suspected broken hand to help out with a try-saving tackle against Cronulla.

ALEX Glenn has always put his body on the line for Brisbane, but his display in Thursday night’s match against Cronulla went above and beyond.
Midway through the first half, Glenn made a strong tackle on Valentine Holmes as Brisbane were defending their line.
Anthony Milford collided with Glenn’s right arm and the veteran back rower reeled away in obvious pain.

In a great show of toughness, Glenn took his place in the line and helped hold up a charging Luke Lewis on the very next play, helping to save a try.
Glenn succumbed to the pain shortly thereafter with a suspected broken hand. Scans later in hospital showed no fracture.
Coach Wayne Bennett applauded Glenn’s toughness to remain on the field after initially suffering the injury, but said it epitomised what the whole team was about.
“There was a lot of character out there from a lot of players,” Bennett said.
“He’s a 200-game player so you don’t get that far in the game if you don’t have the qualities that he displays.”
The moment set the tone for Brisbane’s toughest win of the season as they went on to beat Cronulla 12-10.
