Unlucky NRL SuperCoach player picks worst captain every week
IF you’re keen on SuperCoach NRL and making a dash for the cash at the end of the season then be sure to find out who this guy is picking as captain each week... Then pick someone else.

IF you’re keen on SuperCoach NRL - presented by hipages - and making a dash for the huge $50,000 cash prize at the end of the season definitely DON’T follow this bloke for captaincy advice.
Steve Longden says he has a captaincy curse when it comes to picking the man with the armband and if you look at his choices for the first 10 rounds of 2018 it’s hard to argue.
Longden’s best choice so far came in round four when he captained Jake Trbojevic for a respectable 72 (144) points. Everything else makes for pretty grim reading, with five other rounds seeing Steve ‘Captain’s Curse’ Longden picking skippers for 25 points or less.
It’s no wonder other SuperCoaches are starting to ask Longden who he’s captaining week-to-week... so they can go in an entirely different direction.
For posterity, here are Longden’s captaincy choices to date. Those back-to-back 17 and 18 scores had to hurt!
Meanwhile, we continue to splash cash left, right and centre in SuperCoach NRL.
Now 10 rounds into the season and we’ve already given away nearly $30,000 of a potential prize pool totalling almost $500,000.
This round’s weekly winner, Tony, coach of Tonzafun, is $1000 richer after scoring a massive 1390 and knocking off second place by one measly point.
he didn’t quite get his captain right with Damien Cook (68x2) but didn’t have to with Jake Trbojevic (114), Latrell Mitchell (103) and Angus Crichton (112) all cracking tonnes.
In terms of Perfect 8, this week’s weekly winner showed that grabbing the $1,000 is pretty darn easy.
Lynne, coach of Footy Tip-Sters, picked just 4/8 correct top players from each game, but still has $1000 to show for her troubles.
The $275,000 jackpot didn’t go off and the major prize now jackpots to $280,000. It could reach a massive $340,000 if not won by the end of the year.
Perfect 8 is FREE and, quite frankly, if you are already playing Supercoach NRL, you simply must enter.
It takes no time at all to select your eight players from all eight matches of the round and it is the perfect partner for SuperCoach Classic.
If you are you a commitment-phobe or don’t have the patience for a full SuperCoach season, then Perfect 8 is the best option for you.
Perfect 8 is just like bingo for NRL — all you have to do is select the top SuperCoach NRL points-scorer in each of the eight matches in the round to collect the cash.
If no-one lands 8/8, the prize jackpots by $5000 (except bye rounds) and the weekly winner is awarded $1,000 every round.
Easy money!
