GARETH Widdop moves into third on the all-time individual scorers list and guns Jason Taumalolo and Paul Gallen to be ripe for the picking.

Here’s what we learned from SuperCoach round three — presented by hipages.

Paul Gallen bounced back with strong base stats in round three.

1) Round three may have dealt out a few nasty surprises but experienced SuperCoaches will not be surprised in the slightest to see that Cameron Smith (74) has pulled back the field considerably to sit as the third highest scoring hooker only eighteen points behind Apisai Koroisau (41).

Nearly 1,300 coaches traded out Smith this week and were dually punished by the G.O.A.T. Brisbane hooker Andrew McCullough also deserves mention considering he only played 46 minutes in round one yet is sitting just six points behind Smith with a three-game average of 63.

Jason Taumalolo will be a great buy in a few weeks following price drops.

2) Jason Taumalolo (44) and Paul Gallen (59) are both set for a huge drop in value and will be ripe for the picking over the next few weeks for those interested coaches.

Potential owners of Taumalolo need to take into account that the ‘2017 Lolo’ that averaged 75 points and 62 minutes was more than likely an anomaly.

Three rounds in we see that his minutes are very similar to 2016 when he still averaged a respectable 64 so the big unit is still a very relevant selection.

Gallen is set to drop around $60,000 this week and should start next round with another triple figured breakeven therefore he will almost certainly be available for under $600,000 prior to round five.

3) Tevita Pangai was the most popular trade-in target this week and over 20,000 SuperCoaches settled in on friday night ready to watch their exciting young prospect rip into the Tigers.

However, as it does time and time again, SuperCoach found a way to crush those who love it so dearly with Pangai (29) starting strong before spending time off the field for a H.I.A and then lasting only a few minutes after the break spending rest of game with ice on his hamstring.

Fellow mid-rangers Nelson Asofa-Solomona (70), Cameron Murray (67) and Raymond Faitala-Mariner (62) all scored well for those coaches who elected for a POD option.

Roger Tuivasa-Sheck continued his outstanding form against the Raiders.

4) Roger Tuivasa-Sheck (81) has had his thunder stolen by Gareth Widdop this weekend, however he is still serving as one mighty POD.

‘Roger the dodger’ now has a three-game average of 92 and is in sublime form proving to be the complete package so far with a try, four try assists, four line breaks, four line break assists and 9 offloads.

Just over 2 per cent of coaches brought him in this week but he is still only in 6 per cent of teams.

His price will rise to around $610,000 this week if he holds onto this score.

5) Attention Gareth Widdop (173) owners. Stand up, take a bow and do not stop bragging all week to anyone who will listen that you are a SuperCoach genius.

After final updates, Widdop finished 10 points shy of Cameron Munster’s world record score of 183 and SuperCoaches will see the first ever player to crack to $700,000 barrier. Widdop has overtaken RTS as the highest scoring player in the game with a three-game

average of 114 and his 9 per cent of owners will be licking their lips at the prospect of more high scores playing his next three games at home against the Knights, Rabbitohs and Sharks.

SUPERCOACH VAULT: Terry Campese’s unofficial highest ever score

6) As far as forward PODS go, Tohu Harris (74) and Elliott Whitehead (82) continue to deliver for their small percentage of owners.

Whitehead’s value will increase by around $50,000 this week after finding the try line yet again to take his total to four tries in three games, which has resulted in an opening three-game average of 76.

He will serve his role perfectly over the next few weeks for his owners looking to cash in on these early season tries as they possibly use him as a stepping-stone to a slow starting gun. Harris has also been impressive posting a variety of attacking and base stats on the way to his three-game average of 72.

He is currently in 6.4 per cent of teams and will be available for those looking to invest this week for around $550,000.

Nathan Cleary faces a lengthy stint on the sidelines due to injury.

7) Nathan Cleary (13) is the first of the big name players to suffer serious injury so far this year and his 11 per cent of owners will be forced to make an unplanned trade with the young half looking at ten weeks in the rehab group due to a knee injury.

Owners will take a hit this week and will have around $600,000 in the kitty to find a replacement with Gareth Widdop and Shaun Johnson topping the list of trade-in targets.

Viliame Kikau will see a huge price rise following another big performance.

8) SuperCoaches will officially dip their hats to a host of cheapies who have secured them not only valuable points on the scoreboard but also huge initial price rises. Richie Kennar and Viliame Kikau each smashed their breakeven by 129 and 126 points respectively and will make nearly $100,000 for owners this week alone.

Peta Hiku (64) is not far behind and should increase by round $80,000 whilst Matthew Lodge, Jamayne Isaako and Phillip Sami will also make considerable cash when lock out lifts later today.

Rabbitohs’ stand-in halfback Adam Doueihi will see his first price rise if he retains his selection this weekend but there is risk in the trade if Adam Reynolds returns earlier than expected from injury as he often does.

9) The Titans are battling and there could be some serious SuperCoach opportunities in the coming weeks if they can’t improve their defence.

In the opening three weeks of the competition, they have conceded 18 tries and this has seen five players crack the ton against them with four of those players scoring 120 or over.

Quite a mouth-watering prospect for owners of Anthony Milford, Tom Trbojevic, Jake Trbojevic and Daly-Cherry Evans who will come up against them in the next two rounds.

10) Even though round three was another low week for many SuperCoaches the majority of players made a wise choice in regards to their captain.

Cameron Smith (74) hit back nicely for nearly 14 per cent of players and the ever-reliable Jake Trbojevic (66) did the same for the 13 per cent who gave him the captain’s armband. The ‘James Tedesco Yoyo’ hurt nearly 10 per cent and with scores of 23, 113 and 35 to kick the year off, he is really proving a ‘rocks or diamonds’ prospect. As for the 3.4 per cent who are currently looking at their orange square and are seeing 346 points for Gareth Widdop,

BOOM!! That is all.
