Round 25

Bulldogs v Cowboys, Thursday 7.50pm, Belmore Sports Ground

Johnathan Thurston HFB | 5/8 (Cowboys)

JT gave owners exactly what they were after last weekend, a huge 116-point score! SuperCoach Gold projects JT to score 74 points against the Bulldogs, and last time they met (round 20 this season), he scored 72 points with just the one try assist and a plethora of other attacking stats. He’s the best there is for a reason, lock him in! I also really like Taumololo here.

Other options: Moses Mbye, Brett Morris, Jason Taumololo, Michael Morgan.

Storm v Broncos, Friday 7.50pm, AAMI Park

Cameron Smith HOK (Storm)

I picked him as the locked-in sure-fire safe pick last week and boy did the QLD and Aussie skipper deliver. A try and 113 points was the end result, certainly not a surprising one. With a season average of 76.8ppg and three-round average of 89.7ppg it really is impossible to look past the future Immortal hooker, even with the smorgasbord of options in the fixture!

Other options: Tohu Harris, Cameron Munster, Kevin Proctor, Anthony Milford.

NRL SuperCoach: Buy, Hold, Sell - Round 25

Sea Eagles v Raiders, Saturday 3pm, Brookvale Oval

Josh Hodgson HOK (Raiders)

This one is a bit of a left-field option as there are some of the most explosive outside backs in all of SuperCoach lining up in this one … Leilua, Rapana, Croker, Trbojevic etc. Coming back from a week’s (forced) rest, Hodgson’s form has been outstanding all year, but in particular the game against the Sharks two weeks ago was unbelievable — scoring 126 points. SuperCoach Gold projects Hodgson to score 81 points this week, maybe it’s not that left field after all!

Other options: BJ Leilua, Josh Papalii, Jarrod Croker, Tom Trbojevic

Titans v Panthers, Saturday 5.30pm, CBus Super Stadium

Jarryd Hayne CTW | FLB (Titans)

Did you pick Hayne last week only to see him concussed and miss out on the big prize? Well, pick him again this week as he’s been named at fullback! Hayne is a class above when playing at the back, and I think we will see the best of him in this one.

Other options: Ryan James, Bryce Cartwright, Matt Moylan, Trent Merrin.

Sharks v Roosters, Saturday 7.30pm, Southern Cross Group Stadium

Boyd Cordner 2RF (Roosters)

Yep, I’m going back to the well. Cordner has been UNBELIEVABLE this year for the Roosters and last week’s performance was no different. Projected by SuperCoach Gold to score 89 points this week, and with a three-round average of 85.3ppg, I think there’s a good chance he is the top dog in this one — particularly given the form of the two sides! Also watch out for a James Maloney revenge game.

Other options: Andrew Fifita, James Maloney, Blake Ferguson, Mitch Pearce.

Warriors v Tigers, Sunday 2pm, Mt Smart Stadium

Bodene Thompson 2RF (Warriors)

The Tigers were simply out on their feet without Tedesco last week against the Panthers, and I would expect the Warriors to have the edge over at Mt Smart where they play their best footy. As a result, two names jump off the stat sheet; Shaun Johnson (for obvious reasons), and Bodene Thompson. Bodene has been phenomenal this season, and a five-round average of 70ppg on the dot shows exactly that.

Other options: David Nofoaluma, Mitchell Moses, Shaun Johnson, Solomone Kata.

Knights v Rabbitohs, Sunday 4pm, Hunter Stadium

Greg Inglis FLB (Souths)

GI has been steadily flying under the radar this season, with all the attention (and rightly so) on James Tedesco and Cameron Munster’s heroics in SuperCoach circles. Well, this is the week. GI plays against the Knights, who concede a truckload of points, and the Rabbitohs are somewhat surprisingly one of the form teams of the competition despite not being in the top 8 race. Projected by SuperCoach Gold to score 81 points this week, lock him in!

Other options: Sam Burgess, Cody Walker, Alex Johnston, Mitch Barnett.

Eels v Dragons, Monday 7pm, Pirtek Stadium

Semi Radradra CTW (Eels)

He’s BACK! Man how I wish the season had panned out differently, and those 87 points against the Raiders could’ve been in my SuperCoach team! Anyway, against a Dragons outfit who he averages a massive 87.7PPG across his career I think Semi is a fantastic option.

Other options: Clint Gutherson, Josh Dugan, Gareth Widdop, Jack De Belin

Good luck! Will this be the week where someone takes home a huge wad of cash? Let’s hope so.
