NRL SuperCoach teams analysis round 11

THE representative retirement of Cameron Smith and benching of Viliame Kikau have blown the bye plans of SuperCoaches wide open.

Supercoach Buy Hold Sell 15.05.2018

WINNERS

Tevita Pangai Jnr - Wayne Bennett has been tentative to play the Brisbane beast for extended minutes this season. However with injuries to Payne Haas and Alex Glenn adding further concern to the Broncos’ already depleted forward pack the master coach may have no option but to give TPJ 60+ minutes on ground. Pangai has been named on an edge and could play as much as 80 minutes, massive.

Jai Arrow - Returns from a rib injury suffered against Canberra.

Nathan Cleary - The Penrith star and SuperCoach ace returns from a lengthy knee injury against father Ivan’s Tigers.

Mitchell Barnett - The Knights back-rower is again named on the left edge where he has played 80 minutes over the past two weeks.

Barnett has been a SuperCoach stud in years gone by and can be purchased at a $105k discount on his starting price with the major bonus of Round 13 coverage.

Paul Gallen – Has been named to return for Cronulla after narrowly missing out on last week’s clash with Canberra.

Incredibly Gallen could be available for below $500k for the first major bye, however there will be a strong watch on his minutes on return from his knee injury.

Rhys Martin - Named to play his third game in the Bulldogs back-row and will be the most purchased player of the week.

Jack de Belin – A surprise inclusion for the Dragons for the clash with Canberra in Mudgee, although the NSW hopeful remains in doubt.

LOSERS

Mahe Fonua – In a huge slapdown to SuperCoaches Mahe ‘the mullet’ Fonua has been sensationally dropped by the Tigers after showing up an hour late to training.

Viliame Kikau – A whopping 60 per cent of coaches will be shattered by the benching of Kikau. With no coverage of Round 13 the borderline keeper now looms as a sell.

Shaun Johnson - The fourth highest averaging player in SuperCoach again misses out on selection. With the bye in Round 13 and a number of niggling injuries, Warriors coach Stephen Kearney may be tempted to give the gun half an extended break to get his body right.

Cameron Smith - Will miss a week after taking the early guilty plea for his ‘wishbone’ tackle on former teammate Kevin Proctor.

The greatest SuperCoach hooker of all-time was a prime sell candidate, however the massive news of his representative retirement has changed everything.

Smith is now a valuable extra number for the seriously tough Round 17 bye and won’t play reduced minutes throughout Origin as we’ve seen in previous years.

Payne Haas - Suffered a dislocated shoulder against Manly and could spend several weeks on the sidelines.

Bryce Cartwright – Dropped following his poor form and is therefore a sell. Although injuries to starting back-rowers Keegan Hipgrave (wrist) and Kevin Proctor (groin) could earn Cartwright a reprieve.

Nathan Brown – In a serious blow for super patient owners Brown has again missed selection due to a lingering injury.

Mark Nicholls – Again misses selection for the Rabbitohs and now looks unlikely to play the first bye.

Kurt Capewell – The naming of Luke Lewis could spell curtains for Capewell as a starter, although he’ll hopefully get one more 80 minute game before the veteran returns.

PENRITH PANTHERS V WESTS TIGERS

Thursday 7.50pm at Panthers Stadium

Panthers: 1 Dallin Watene-Zelezniak, 2 Christian Crichton, 3 Tyrone Peachey, 4 Dean Whare, 5 Tyrone Phillips, 6 James Maloney (c), 7 Nathan Cleary, 8 Trent Merrin, 9 Sione Katoa, 10 Reagan Campbell-Gillard, 11 Corey Harawira-Naera, 12 Isaah Yeo, 13 James Fisher-Harris

Interchange:14 Wayde Egan, 15 Jack Hetherington, 16 Viliame Kikau, 17 James Tamou

Reserves: 18 Jarome Luai, 19 Kaide Ellis, 20 Tyrone May, 21 Nick Lui-Toso

Team news: Nathan Cleary’s long-awaited return in the halves pushes Tyrone Peachey to centre, Isaah Yeo to back row and Viliame Kikau to the interchange. Hooker Peter Wallace is out injured with Sione Katoa to start. Wayde Egan and Jack Hetherington (suspension) rejoin the bench with Kaide Ellis and Jarome Luai dropping out.

SuperCoach analysis: In a blow to SuperCoaches, cheapie of the year Viliame Kikau has been relegated to the bench. Kikau loomed as a borderline keeper, but his unexpected demotion to the bench and lack of Round 13 coverage makes him sell for next week at around $500k should he remain on the interchange. Tyrone Phillips ($205,200) gets his first rise and is a luxury trade for those with less pressing injuries following his underwhelming 17 on the weekend.

Wests Tigers: 1 Corey Thompson, 2 David Nofoaluma, 3 Esan Marsters, 4 Kevin Naiqama, 5 Malakai Watene-Zelezniak, 6 Benji Marshall, 7 Luke Brooks, 8 Russell Packer (c), 9 Elijah Taylor, 10 Ben Matulino, 11 Chris Lawrence, 12 Robbie Rochow, 13 Matthew Eisenhuth

Interchange:14 Alex Twal, 15 Jacob Liddle, 16 Michael Chee-Kam, 17 Sauaso Sue

Reserves: 18 Tim Grant, 19 Chris McQueen, 20 Josh Aloiai, 21 Tyson Gamble

Team news: Centre Mahe Fonua has been dropped after turning up late to training despite a man-of-the-match effort last week, with Kevin Naiqama returning at centre.

SuperCoach analysis: Mahe, you’re killing us. Fonua surely retains his place in the starting side next week based on recent form, but his demotion this week means SuperCoaches have a spot to fill in the backline. Esan Marsters ($560,300) was on 3 at half-time before scoring a try and setting up another on his way to 74 points despite having an off night with the boot. David Nofoaluma ($419,200) is a huge watch over the next two weeks. Nofo averaged 63.5 and 60 in the past two years and is a bargain at his current price. Job security is an issue, but with a breakeven of 49 we can have another look this week to assess his security when Fonua returns.

SuperCoach Perfect 8 hits $325,000.

PARRAMATTA EELS V NEW ZEALAND WARRIORS

Friday 6pm at ANZ Stadium

Eels: 1 Clint Gutherson (c), 2 Bevan French, 3 Michael Jennings, 4 Brad Takairangi, 5 George Jennings, 6 Corey Norman, 7 Mitchell Moses, 8 Daniel Alvaro, 9 Cameron King, 10 Peni Terepo, 11 Beau Scott (c), 12 Tepai Moeroa, 13 Manu Ma’u

Interchange: 14 Will Smith, 15 Suaia Matagi, 16 David Gower, 17 Marata Niukore

Reserves: 18 Josh Hoffman, 19 Siosaia Vave, 20 Jaeman Salmon, 21 Raymond Stone

Team news: Kenny Edwards is out pending a court appearance for a traffic violation. Cameron King replaces Will Smith (bench) at hooker. Manu Ma’u swaps to lock with Beau Scott who moves to second row. Marata Niukore has been named to make his debut in jersey 17 with Siosaia Vave dropping out. Young gun Jaemon Salmon makes his first appearance in the 21-man squad in the reserves but is unlikely to debut just yet.

SuperCoach analysis: Nathan Brown again misses out for those who waited on the Parramatta lock. If you’ve held for this long you may as well hang tight for the round 13 coverage. Keep an eye on Clint Gutherson’s form over the next few weeks. The King was a SuperCoach gun last year and could be available at under $400k for in a few weeks. Manu Ma’u has flown under the radar this season with a 61.3 PPG average, it’s a shame he’s not dual CTW/2RF status as he has been in previous years. George Jennings a hold until after the bye before being sold.

Warriors: 1 Roger Tuivasa-Sheck (c), 2 David Fusitu’a, 3 Peta Hiku, 4 Solomone Kata, 5 Ken Maumalo, 6 Blake Green, 7 Mason Lino, 8 Bunty Afoa, 9 Issac Luke, 10 Agnatius Paasi, 16 Isaiah Papali’i, 12 Tohu Harris, 13 Adam Blair

Interchange: 14 Jazz Tevaga, 15 Chris Satae, 16 James Gavet, 17 Simon Mannering,

Reserves: 18 Gerard Beale, 19 Karl Lawton, 20 Albert Vete, 21 Anthony Gelling

Team news: Issac Luke (shoulder) has been named to return at hooker with Karl Lawton dropped to the reserves. Mason Lino has been named at halfback despite injuring an ankle last week. Chris Satae replaces Sam Lisone on the bench.

SuperCoach analysis: Almost 30,000 Shaun Johnson owners have a make or break decision ahead of them this week. The fourth highest averaging player in SuperCoach has again missed selection with injury and could miss four of the next six weeks. With the Warriors flying high and Mason Lino excelling as a replacement, you’d have to think coach Stephen Kearney gives SJ a spell next week prior to the bye. Kearney has already signalled his intention to rest his rep players after the Denver Test, meaning SJ would miss round 11, 12, 13 and 16. This is also bad news for Tohu Harris ($492,500) and Peta Hiku ($411,000) owners who have struggled without SJ feeding them ball. Hiku is only a hold for coaches well-placed for the upcoming by, otherwise he’s peaked and can be sold. Tohu is a definite hold after scoring over 54 in every game this season barring an injury impacted 14 in round 7.

BRISBANE BRONCOS V SYDNEY ROOSTERS

Friday 7.55pm at Suncorp Stadium

Broncos: 1 Darius Boyd (c), 2 Corey Oates, 3 James Roberts, 4 Tom Opacic, 5 Jamayne Isaako, 6 Anthony Milford, 7 Kodi Nikorima, 8 Matthew Lodge, 9 Andrew McCullough, 10 Sam Thaiday, 11 Tevita Pangai jnr, 12 Jaydn Su’A, 13 Joe Ofahengaue

Interchange: 14 Sam Tagataese, 15 Gehamat Shibasaki, 16 Korbin Sims, 17 Patrick Mago

Reserves: 18 Kontoni Staggs, 19 Todd Murphy, 20 George Fai, 21 David Fifita

Team news: Jack Bird (sternum), Alex Glenn (knee) and Payne Haas (shoulder) are sidelined, with Tom Opacic starting at centre, Tevita Pangai jnr shifting to the second row, Joe Ofahengaue starting at lock and Sam Tagataese, Gehamat Shibasaki and Patrick Mago joining the bench.

SuperCoach analysis: Jamayne Isaako ($402,100) had a chance to initiate another round of price rises with home games against Manly and the Bulldogs. The winger managed 55 (thanks to a very late try) and 48 in the two matches at Suncorp, hardly staking a claim to be held. Cash in for a round 13 player such as Esan Marsters or Ryan Matterson. Tevita Pangai Jnr ($440,300) is the beneficiary of further injury carnage to the Brisbane pack and could see as much as 80 minutes on the edge, although 65 minutes seems more likely. I’d be reluctant to jump on at the price without initial bye coverage, but it’s very welcome news for those who held. Anthony Milford continues to struggle despite maintaining reasonable scores, he’s a hold with another two games coming up at his favoured Suncorp Stadium. Watch for a fortnight then consider selling before round 13 if things don’t improve.

Roosters: 1 James Tedesco, 2 Joseph Manu, 3 Latrell Mitchell, 4 Mitchell Aubusson, 5 Blake Ferguson, 6 Luke Keary, 7 Cooper Cronk, 8 Siosiua Taukeiaho, 9 Jake Friend (c), 10 Dylan Napa, 11 Boyd Cordner (c), 12 Ryan Matterson, 13 Isaac Liu

Interchange: 14 Jared Waerea-Hargreaves, 15 Zane Tetevano, 16 Kurt Baptiste, 17 Victory Radley

Reserves: 18 Nat Butcher, 19 Sitili Tupouniua, 20 Lindsay Collins, 21 Mitchell Cornish

Team news: Victor Radley is back from suspension so Nat Butcher drops back to 18th man.

SuperCoach analysis: The Roosters backline finally hit their straps – courtesy of an improved forward pack – and finally put on the scores we’ve all been expecting. Lazy Latrell hit triple figures with improved quality rather than quantity - owners will be praying he misses Origin selection. Ryan Matterson bagged an easy try on top of his solid base stats to record 76 points. Matterson is a must for those who don’t already own, although the trade can wait a week with a breakeven of 77. Joseph Manu ($292,300) and a breakeven of 6 is a left field cheapie with round 13 coverage for anyone convinced the Roosters have found form, but his numbers to start the season aren’t appealing.

GOLD COAST TITANS V NEWCASTLE KNIGHTS

Saturday 3pm at Cbus Super Stadium

Titans: 1 Michael Gordon, 2 Anthony Don, 3 Dale Copley, 4 Brenko Lee, 5 Phillip Sami, 6 AJ Brimson, 7 Ashley Taylor, 8 Jarrod Wallace, 9 Nathan Peats, 10 Ryan James (c), 11 Kevin Proctor, 12 Keegan Hipgrave, 13 Jai Arrow

Interchange: 14 Mitch Rein, 15 Max King, 16 Jack Stockwell, 17 Moeaki Fotuaika

Reserves: 18 Bryce Cartwright, 19 Konrad Hurrell, 20 Kane Elgey, 21 Morgan Boyle

Team news: Jai Arrow returns from a rib injury at lock, pushing Jarrod Wallace to prop and Max King to the bench. Nathan Peats is back from a rib injury at hooker pushing Mitch Rein to the bench with Bryce Cartwright pushed out of the 17. Will Matthews (concussion) drops out of the back row with Keegan Hipgrave to start despite suffering a wrist injury last week. Kevin Proctor has been named despite seeming to suffer a groin tear in a Cameron Smith tackle last week.

SuperCoach analysis: Nearly 30,000 coaches breathed a sigh of relief when Jai Arrow ($596,000) was named to return from injury. The Titans lock has done enough to earn a hold despite his breakeven of 100. The issue is the lingering back spasms he’s faced in recent weeks. If they play up against the Knights he could be a sell for next round, but he’s too valuable to sell should he have recovered from the back issue. Garth Brennan finally put us out of our pain and dropped Bryce Cartwright ($249,100) to reserve grade. He’s been one of the biggest SuperCoach disappointments in history and is an obvious sell for those who held with memories of 2016 lingering in the back of their minds. AJ Brimson ($164,600) looked solid alongside Ash Taylor and has reasonable job security, but jump on early at your own peril. The return of Nathan Peats spells curtains for Mitch Rein ($461,000) who has made $183,000 for those who jump on at bottom dollar in round 6. Moeaki Fotuaika ($164,600) has a breakeven of -33 and is a reasonable downgrade, but with Rhyse Martin a better purchase there’s stronger options this week.

Knights: 1 Kalyn Ponga, 2 Ken Sio, 3 Sione Mata’utia, 4 Nathan Ross, 5 Shaun Kenny-Dowall, 6 Connor Watson, 7 Brock Lamb, 8 Herman Ese’ese, 9 Slade Griffin, 10 Josh King, 11 Lachlan Fitzgibbon, 12 Mitchell Barnett, 13 Aidan Guerra (c)

Interchange: 14 Danny Levi, 15 Chris Heighington, 16 Jacob Saifiti, 17 Daniel Saifiti

Reserves: 18 Jamie Buhrer (c), 19 Jacob Lillyman, 20 Jack Cogger, 21 Cory Denniss

Team news: Newcastle have made just one change with Jacob Saifiti replacing Luke Yates on the bench.

SuperCoach analysis: Mitchell Barnett ($397,400) has been a SuperCoach stud in previous seasons when playing 80 minutes. He’s done just that in the previous two weeks on the left edge where Kalyn Ponga has excelled all season. Barnett has a breakeven of 18, offers round 13 coverage, has a $105k discount on his starting price and is owned by just 1 percent… get on. Connor Watson is a decent upgrade option for Ryley Jacks owners, but the $416k price tag could be tough to stomach. Daly Cherry-Evans and Anthony Milford are better options for an extra $60k. Lachlan Fitzgibbon’s move to the right edge has somehow only enhanced his SuperCoach output, producing 88 and 83 PPG in the past fortnight yet is still owned by just 4 percent of teams. POD! Brock Lamb ($276,300) is an okay Ryley Jacks replacement with a breakeven of 11, but let me remind you of his opening six games in 2018 where he scored: 10, 5, 14, 16, 33, 18. He’ll play a more dominant role with Mitchell Pearce out of the team, but even so looks a dangerous buy at a slightly awkward price. Slade Griffin ($408,000) played 32 minutes against Penrith and is a sell for those with decent bye coverage with a breakeven of 74. I’d be tempted to hold for a few more weeks for round 13 and cop the $60k loss to have an extra number.

NORTH QUEENSLAND COWBOYS V SOUTH SYDNEY RABBITOHS

Saturday 5.30pm at 1300SMILES Stadium

Cowboys: 1 Lachlan Coote, 2 Kyle Feldt, 3 Justin O’Neill, 4 Ben Hampton, 5 Antonio Winterstein, 6 Michael Morgan, 7 Johnathan Thurston (c), 8 Matthew Scott (c), 9 Jake Granville, 10 Scott Bolton, 11 Gavin Cooper, 12 Coen Hess, 13 Jason Taumalolo

Interchange: 14 Te Maire Martin, 15 Shaun Fensom, 16 Corey Jensen, 17 Ethan Lowe

Reserves: 18 Francis Molo, 19 Jake Clifford, 20 Javid Bowen, 21 Enari Tuala

Team news: No changes for North Queensland despite last Thursday’s loss to the Wests Tigers.

SuperCoach analysis: Johnathan Thurston ($503,900) has three and five-games averages of 54.7 and 57, making him a hold with upcoming bye coverage. He’s a sell to Gareth Widdop or Shaun Johnson in round 14. Don’t be tempted by Te Maire Martin ($171,500) who isn’t a serious purchase unless Paul Green names him to start with Michael Morgan available. Jason Taumalolo ($657,600) is a must-have before round 13 and can be held for the rest of the season.

Rabbitohs: 1 Alex Johnston, 2 Campbell Graham, 3 Greg Inglis (c), 4 Dane Gagai, 5 Hymel Hunt, 6 Cody Walker, 7 Adam Reynolds, 8 Thomas Burgess, 9 Damien Cook, 10 George Burgess, 11 John Sutton, 12 Angus Crichton, 13 Sam Burgess

Interchange: 14 Cameron Murray, 15 Adam Doueihi, 16 Jason Clark, 17 Tevita Tatola

Reserves: 18 Robbie Farah, 19 Mark Nicholls, 20 Braidon Burns, 21 Kyle Turner

Team news: The Rabbitohs are unchanged, with Robert Jennings still sidelined with a hamstring injury.

SuperCoach analysis: Campbell Graham ($207,700) plays his third game against the Cowboys and has a breakeven of -32. Graham has poor job security with Robert Jennings and Richard Kennar to return soon, but with Greg Inglis and Dane Gagai missing round 13 he’ll be a handy number in a tough week. Don’t expect massive rises from Graham, but he’s a decent downgrade option. Cody Walker ($547,600) scored just 18 against the Dragons and will be ripe for the picking before the first bye with a current breakeven of 94. Adam Reynolds ($511,500) has a habit of piquing interest around the Origin period, and nothing has changed this season. Reynolds has decent base stats across the board making him a solid purchase, but at $40k cheaper Daly Cherry-Evans is a better buy. Cameron Murray ($493,00) is a luxury trade for any owners with no major issues. Minutes are an issue with an average of just 50 per game over the past three weeks, but he should be held for round 13 before being traded the following week. Cop the price drop and give yourself an extra number for the brutal bye week. Angus Crichton ($578,500) is a POD at 11 percent ownership and has money to be made after belting out 112 against the ladder leader Dragons. With just two tries and three line breaks to his name in 2018, there’s plenty more attacking stats to come Crichton’s way.

MELBOURNE STORM V MANLY WARRINGAH SEA EAGLES

Saturday 7.30pm at AAMI Park

Storm: 1 Billy Slater (c), 2 Suliasi Vunivalu, 3 Will Chambers, 4 Curtis Scott, 5 Josh Addo-Carr, 6 Cameron Munster, 7 Ryley Jacks, 8 Christian Welch, 9 Brandon Smith, 10 Nelson Asofa-Solomona, 11 Felise Kaufusi, 12 Ryan Hoffman, 13 Dale Finucane

Interchange: 14 Tim Glasby, 15 Kenny Bromwich, 16 Joe Stimson, 17 Jahrome Hughes

Reserves: 18 Patrick Kaufusi, 19 Brodie Croft, 20 Harry Grant, 21 Justin Olam

Team news: Brandon Smith starts at hooker for suspended skipper Cameron Smith. Utility Jahrome Hughes joins the bench. Tim Glasby (thumb) returns on the bench for Sam Kasiano (suspension).

SuperCoach analysis: Cameron Smith’s rep retirement is music to the ears of SuperCoaches. Many had Smith pencilled in as a trade to Api Koroisau this week, but that can be reversed with today’s news. Smith won’t play reduced minutes through Origin and offers valuable round 17 bye coverage. He’s far better than his 55 PPG average suggests, hold strong. Josh Addo-Carr ($709,900) is a sell either this week or next due to a breakeven of 45. A mouth-watering clash against a depleted Manly outfit this week will be enough to tempt many owners to hold before selling for a massive profit. JAC’s scores over the first five weeks went as follows: 48, 16, 13, 14, 37. Buy low, sell high - Addo-Carr is the standout example to this philosophy. Ryley Jacks ($316,400) must be sold for anyone holding on.

Sea Eagles: 1 Tom Trbojevic, 2 Matthew Wright, 3 Moses Suli, 4 Brian Kelly, 5 Akuila Uate, 6 Dylan Walker, 7 Daly Cherry-Evans (c), 8 Addin Fonua-Blake, 9 Apisai Koroisau, 10 Martin Taupau, 11 Joel Thompson, 12 Shaun Lane, 13 Jake Trbojevic

Interchange: 14 Trent Hodkinson, 15 Frank Winterstein, 16 Lloyd Perrett, 17 Toafofoa Sipley

Reserves: 18 Tom Wright, 19 Lewis Brown, 20 Jorge Taufua, 21 Tevita Funa

Team news: Mid-season recruit Trent Hodkinson has been named on the bench, bumping Tom Wright out of the 17, while Toafofoa Sipley replaces the injured Taniela Paseka (ankle). Jackson Hastings is out of the 21-man squad altogether.

SuperCoach analysis: Marty Taupau ($595,500) came back to earth with 47 points against Brisbane. Regardless, he’s still a solid purchase with round 13 coverage. Daly Cherry-Evans ($479,700) would be buy of the week had it not been for a tough upcoming draw. DCE has looked sensational in actual NRL which translated into 79 points against the Broncos. He’s a strong upgrade from Ryley Jacks, although I can’t recommend playing him for just the week against the Storm in their own backyard. Cherry is kicking at over 80 percent for the season and should retain the duties even if Trent Hodkinson starts.

ST GEORGE ILLAWARRA DRAGONS V CANBERRA RAIDERS

Sunday 2pm at Glen Willow, Mudgee

Dragons: 1 Matt Dufty, 2 Nene Macdonald, 3 Euan Aitken, 4 Tim Lafai, 5 Jason Nightingale, 6 Gareth Widdop (c), 7 Ben Hunt, 8 James Graham, 9 Cameron McInnes, 10 Paul Vaughan, 11 Tyson Frizell, 12 Tariq Sims, 13 Jack De Belin

Interchange: 14 Jeremy Latimore, 15 Kurt Mann, 16 Leeson Ah Mau, 17 Blake Lawrie

Reserves: 18 Reece Robson, 19 Zachary Lomax, 20 Mitchell Allgood, 21 Hame Sele

Team news: Jack de Belin (hip) and Ben Hunt (quad) have been named despite niggles. Blake Lawrie replaces last week’s debutant Zac Lomax in jersey 17.

SuperCoach analysis: Not a lot to be said here, with most players irrelevant due to the stable team and round 13 bye. Gareth Widdop ($599,600) has a breakeven of 74 and will be a juicy price after the bye. Head to head players can jump on board asap.

Raiders: 1 Jack Wighton, 2 Nick Cotric, 3 Jarrod Croker (c), 4 Joseph Leilua, 5 Jordan Rapana, 6 Blake Austin, 7 Aidan Sezer, 8 Iosia Soliola, 9 Siliva Havili, 10 Shannon Boyd, 11 Joseph Tapine, 12 Elliott Whitehead, 13 Josh Papalii

Interchange: 14 Ata Hingano, 15 Luke Bateman, 16 Charlie Gubb, 17 Dunamis Lui

Reserves: 18 Liam Knight, 19 Michael Oldfield, 20 Sam Williams, 21 Craig Garvey

Team news: Five-eighth Blake Austin (ankle) has been named in an unchanged Raiders line-up, with Sam Williams on standby in the reserves.

SuperCoach analysis: Joey Leilua has been solid up until this point disregarding his injury impacted 12 in round 2. Ideally BJ is a hold but without round 13 coverage and the fact he won’t be a top 17 player by the end of season means he can be sold off with a breakeven of 39. Much the same can be said for Jarrod Croker ($465,000) who is probably a fifth CTW option by the end of season.

CRONULLA SHARKS V CANTERBURY-BANKSTOWN BULLDOGS

Sunday 4.10pm at Southern Cross Group Stadium

Sharks: 1 Valentine Holmes, 2 Sosaia Feki, 3 Jesse Ramien, 4 Ricky Leutele, 5 Edrick Lee, 6 Matt Moylan, 7 Chad Townsend, 8 Andrew Fifita, 9 Jayden Brailey, 10 Matt Prior, 11 Kurt Capewell, 11 Jayson Bukuya, 13 Paul Gallen (c)

Interchange: 14 Joseph Paulo, 15 James Segeyaro, 16 Ava Seumanufagai, 17 Jack Williams

Reserves: 18 Kurt Dillon, 19 Braden Uele, 20 Luke Lewis, 21 Josh Dugan

Team news: Paul Gallen (knee) returns at lock and Jayson Bukuya (illness) in the back row with Ava Seumanufagai and Joseph Paulo benched. Kurt Dillon and Braden Uele drop out. Josh Dugan (foot) and Luke Lewis (calf) have been named in the reserves as they eye off injury comebacks.

SuperCoach analysis: Plenty are jumping on last week’s debutant Jack Williams following an impressive 59 in 50 minutes against Canberra. This is a huge trap, with the talented youngster to drop out as soon as this week with a Wade Graham and Luke Lewis due back in coming weeks. Paul Gallen will be a nice pickup at below $500k in a few weeks, although we’ll want to see Gal get back to the form he showed just before injuring himself in round six. Luke Lewis’s earlier than expected addition to the squad is terrible news for Kurt Capewell owners. Capewell looks unlikely to get decent minutes in round 13 barring any injuries between now and then. Hopefully for owners he gets 80 minutes this round to see another few decent rises. Andrew Fifita is must-have, even if it hurts the wallet, but expect his minutes to drop to between 65-70 minutes in coming weeks.

Bulldogs: 1 Moses Mbye, 2 Brett Morris, 3 Josh Morris, 4 Will Hopoate, 5 Marcelo Montoya, 6 Matt Frawley, 7 Kieran Foran, 8 Aaron Woods, 9 Jeremy Marshall-King, 10 David Klemmer, 11 Josh Jackson (c), 12 Raymond Faitala-Mariner, 13 Rhyse Martin

Interchange: 14 Adam Elliott, 15 Clay Priest, 16 Renouf Toomaga, 17 Kerrod Holland

Reserves: 19 Greg Eastwood, 20 John Olive, 21 Asipeli Fine, 23 Michael Lichaa

Team news: David Klemmer has been named to start after coming off the bench in last week’s win over the Eels, with Danny Fualalo sidelined with an ankle injury and Clay Priest joining the interchange.

SuperCoach analysis: Minimal SuperCoach relevance here other than Rhyse Martin who is a must-have this week. Despite a very strong start to the year and $215k in prices rises, Raymond Faitala-Mariner ($526,300) is a borderline keeper at best. RFM is in doubt for this week’s clash and the tough decision to sell could be made for owners if ruled out against the Sharks.
