Wacko’s Whispers: Star cheapie Gehamat Shibasaki is out, with Bradman Best coming into the centres. A late injury for Lachlan Fitzgibbon (hamstring) sees Aidan Guerra promoted to the starting side and Brodie Jones join Tex Hoy and Chris Randall in making their their NRL debuts. Sione Mata’utia to play his first game of the year after recovering from a knee injury suffered in pre-season. Tex Hoy is reported to have won goal kicking duties.
Panthers: 1. Caleb Aetkins, 2. Josh Mansour, 3. Dean Whare, 14. Stephen Crichton, 5. Brian To’o, 6. Matt Burton, 7. Jarome Luai, 8. James Tamou, 9. Apisai Koroisau, 10. James Fisher-Harris, 11. Viliame Kikau, 12. Kurtis Capewell, 13. Isaah Yeo

Wacko’s Whispers: Stephen Crichton scores a centre spot ahead of Brent Naden. A leg injury to Liam Martin forces him out of the team and Billy Burns is promoted to the bench. Kurt Capewell (quad) is good to go after training this week. I’m not 100 per cent sure who will kick for goals with Cleary out, but I am thinking Jarome Luai will get goal kicking duties with Matt Burton the other option.
Please note due to new rules regarding players getting temperature checked as they enter grounds that players may potentially be ruled out one hour before kick-off and depending on position of player ruled out that players outside 19 man squad that is named 24 hours before kick-off may come into 17, so people who are considering looping need to keep a close eye on team lists one hour before kick off.
