Jarrod Croker’s NRL career has been placed in doubt by a shoulder injury after the Canberra veteran was ruled out for the rest of the year.

In a cruel blow for the former Raiders captain, who only returned from a career threatening knee injury in round nine, Croker will now be sidelined with a shoulder injury.

Croker injured his shoulder in the round nine clash against the Bulldogs and will require season-ending surgery.

With just a year left on his deal, Croker’s latest injury could force the veteran centre to reconsider his future.

The one-club legend, who is just eight games away from playing his 300th NRL match for the Raiders, had only just returned to the NRL after fighting his way back from a knee injury that required radical stem cell therapy.
