Manly star Tom Trbojevic will not back up against South Sydney with Des Hasler opting to rest his talismanic fullback.

Trbojevic, who has only played five matches for Manly so far this season, will stay on the sidelines but fellow Origin stars Jake Trbojevic and Daly Cherry-Evans will play.

Brendan Elliott is expected to replace Trbojevic at fullback.

For South Sydney, Sam Burgess will not make an early return from a shoulder injury following complications in his recovery.

Burgess was named to make a return from shoulder surgery this weekend.

But an infection post surgery will delay his return for at least two more weeks.

Burgess’ omission will see Jaydn Su’A make his club debut off the bench with Kyle Turner likely to start in the back row.

The Rabbitohs’ Origin contingent of Damien Cook, Cameron Murray and Dane Gagai are all expected to play tomorrow afternoon. Queensland forward Ethan Lowe is 18th man for tomorrow’s game and at this stage is likely to be rested.

Meanwhile, the Sharks have suffered a bitter blow on the eve of their grudge match against Melbourne with representative forward Wade Graaham ruled out for up to a month with a hamstring injury.

The NSW bench forward was forced from the field after just 16-minutes in the Blues epic victory over Queensland on Wednesday night.

Scans this morning have revealed a grade two hamstring injury with the Sharks medical staff predicting a three to four week stint on the sidelines for Graham.

The NSW bench forward was forced from the field after just 16 minutes in the Blues epic victory over Queensland on Wednesday night. Scans Thursday morning have revealed a grade two hamstring injury with the Sharks medical staff predicting a three to four week stint on the sidelines for Graham. Graham’s omission from the Sharks line-up to face Melbourne on Saturday night will likely see Kurt Capewell start the match after originally being named on the interchange bench. Blayke Brailey or Kyle Flanagan are expected to come onto the bench. Matt Moylan will also be out due to a hamstring injury with Josh Dugan, who is expected to play despite a hip injury, moving to fullback with Aaron Gray coming onto the wing. Another left field option that could be considered due to goal kicking would be moving Johnson to fullback with Flanagan starting in halves.

TIGERS VS EELS

Sunday, July 14th, 4:05pm, Bankwest Stadium

Tigers: 1. Corey Thompson 2. Robert Jennings 3. Moses Mbye 4. Esan Marsters 5. David Nofoaluma 6. Benji Marshall 7. Luke Brooks 8. Josh Aloiai 9. Robbie Farah 10. Alex Twal 11. Ryan Matterson 12. Chris Lawrence 13. Matthew Eisenhuth

Interchange: 14. Jacob Liddle 15. Thomas Mikaele 16. Elijah Taylor 17. Michael Chee-Kam

Reserves: 18. Paul Momirovski 19. Chris McQueen 20. Josh Reynolds 21. Oliver Clark

Players cut: To come …

Late Mail: Tigers only have Moses Mbye to back up from Origin but with four-day turnaround he shouldn’t have any problems and is expected to play. Their only concern leading into the game is Robert Jennings due to concussion and nasty head cut, but I expect him to play with no direct replacement named in 21-man squad, with Tigers to be 1-17.

Eels: 1. Clinton Gutherson 2. Maika Sivo 3. Brad Takairangi 4. Josh Hoffman 5. Blake Ferguson 6. Dylan Brown 7. Mitch Moses 8. Kane Evans 9. Reed Mahoney 10. Junior Paulo 11. Shaun Lane 12. Manu Ma’u 13. Nathan Brown

Interchange: 14. Jaeman Salmon 15. Marata Niukore 16. David Gower 17. Tepai Moeroa

Reserves: 18. Oregon Kaufusi 19. Daniel Alvaro 20. Greg Leleisiuao 21. Bevan French

Players cut: To come …

Late Mail: Eels are coming off a bye and have no major concerns leading into the game with only Blake Ferguson playing Origin while Clint Gutherson was in camp on 18th man duties. I am expecting one change with Marata Niukore to drop off the bench with either Orgeon Kaufusi or Daniel Alvaro coming in.

DRAGONS VS RAIDERS

Sunday, July 14th, 6:10pm, WIN Stadium

Dragons: 1. Matt Dufty 2. Jonus Pearson 3. Tim Lafai 4. Euan Aitken 5. Mikaele Ravalawa 6. Corey Norman 7. Darren Nicholls 8. Jeremy Latimore 9. Cameron McInnes 10. Blake Lawrie 11. Jacob Host 12. Tariq Sims 13. Luciano Leilua

Interchange: 14. Korbin Sims 15. Reece Robson 16. Patrick Kaufusi 17. Josh Kerr

Reserves: 18. Tristan Sailor 19. Jason Saab 20. James Graham 21. Ben Hunt 22. Paul Vaughan 23. Tyson Frizell

Players cut: To come …

Late Mail: Dragons could have a few changes with Paul McGregor naming his Origin players, except Corey Norman, all on extended bench. It will be interesting to see if McGregor does rest them as he has been known not to rest players after origin. A final call will be made at captain’s run on Saturday morning but the four-day turnaround helps a lot. Hunt would replace Darren Nicholls at halfback while Paul Vaughan and Tyson Frizell would come into 17 for Josh Kerr and Patrick Kaufusi. Vaughen and Frizell would start at prop and lock respectively with Blake Lawrie and Luciano Leilua dropping back to the bench. James Graham was named on the extended bench but won’t play this weekend. He will return from a broken leg next weekend.

Raiders: 1. Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad 2. Bailey Simonsson 3. Jarrod Croker 4. Nick Cotric 5. Jordan Rapana 6. Jack Wighton 7. Aidan Sezer 8. Josh Papalii 9. Josh Hodgson 10. Dunamis Lui 11. John Bateman 12. Elliott Whitehead 13. Joseph Tapine

Interchange: 14. Siliva Havili 15. Corey Horsburgh 16. Sia Soliola 17. Ryan Sutton

Reserves: 18. Sam Williams 19. Michael Oldfield 20. Royce Hunt 21. Emre Guler

T

Players cut: To come …

Late Mail: Raiders are expected to be 1-17 with Josh Papalii tipped to back up from Origin. Nick Cotric will have to pass a fitness test on his ankle at captain’s run while Jordan Rapana will play due to a long turnaround after failing to finish last game due to concussion.
