PARRAMATTA playmaker Mitchell Moses has been cleared of a serious knee injury and is set to miss just two games.

Moses left the field after 25 minutes in the last-placed Eels’ 30-4 loss to the Knights on Saturday night after being twisted awkwardly in a tackle (watch attached video).

There were initial fears Moses had suffered a serious MCL tear. Penrith’s Nathan Cleary missed seven weeks with an MCL injury earlier this year.

There were also fears of ACL involvement, which would have ended Moses’s season.

However, scans have cleared Moses of serious injury and he has been diagnosed with bone bruising to the knee, which will likely see him miss a fortnight.

In further injury news at the Eels, Will Smith (hamstring) is set for a stint on the sidelines, while Bevan French (concussion) lasted just two minutes.

Tepai Moeroa is facing a 3-5 week suspension for a shoulder charge on Chris Heighington.

NRL CASUALTY WARD ROUND 13

• Manly’s Jack Gosiewski (broken arm) underwent surgery on Friday and has been ruled out for six weeks. Gosiewski is also facing a one-game ban for a shoulder charge on Johnathan Thurston. Shaun Lane and Jorge Taufua (concussion) will be monitored after failing to finish.

• Cronulla’s Josh Dugan (leg) was a pre-game withdrawal for the Sharks due to stress fractures. “Josh has a stress reaction in his leg and we need to take the playing and training load away to enable it to recover,” Sharks physical performance manager Andrew Gray said. “We will assess his recovery and are hopeful he will be fit to return in round 16.”

• Sharks backrower Wade Graham (concussion) was forced from the field following a sickening accidental head knock and will be monitored.

• Rabbitohs outside back Braidon Burns (knee) is facing a stint on the sideline after making it through just 21 minutes against the Sharks.

• Ryan Matterson (concussion) was a pre-game withdrawal for the Roosters.

• Gavin Cooper (rib cartilage) pulled out for the Cowboys.

• David Nofoaluma (calf) failed to finish for the Tigers.

• Tepai Moeroa (shoulder charge) is facing a 3-5 week suspension.
