We’re set for a crazy week of team antics with uncertainty over Origin players, the Round 16 bye looming and a host of players due for returns.

Sam Burgess will play this week before going for a shoulder operation. The surgery is expected to sideline the English enforcer for five weeks, but because of how the State of Origin schedule impacts the NRL draw, he will miss as little as two games.

Connor Watson will play hooker in place of Danny Levi (ankle), with Kurt Mann to continue at five-eighth. Mitchell Pearce (groin) is expected to overcome a minor injury. Mason Lino has been named on the extended bench.
