KFC SuperCoach launched in style with a star-studded bus ride through Sydney’s rugby league hot spots on the trail to unearth the Holy Grail — the inaugural SuperCoach trophy worthy of going straight to the pool room.
A lucky group footy fans won the right to join rugby league greats Corey Parker, Greg Inglis, Brian Fletcher, Steve Menzies, Peter Wynn, Joel Caine and Tim Mannah on a luxury 48-seat bus ride through Sydney’s rugby league landmarks.
With live crosses to SEN’s breakfast program, fans battled fierce rain to drive more than 150km on “The Super Coach”, travelling from the home of the current premiers the Penrith Panthers to fan-favourite Leichhardt Oval.
Along the way were pit stops at Peter Wynn’s Score, Parramatta Leagues and SEN studios in North Sydney.
At Leichhardt Oval, KFC SuperCoach ambassador Parker officially unearthed the Holy Grail, a bejewelled chalice worth $10,000 to be awarded to the 2022 winner of Australia’s best fantasy football game, as well as $50,000.
The Holy Grail was officially “blessed” by Immortal Mal Meninga, who was joined by a litany of rugby league legends and identities including Benny Elias, Paul Sironen, Greg Alexander, Kennedy Cherrington and Andrew Voss.

“As a SuperCoach player, captain, coach and manager of Vossy’s Vultures, I would love to win that trophy. It would go straight to the pool room. In fact, I’m here to kick all your butts,” said master of ceremonies Voss.
Leading the fan-charge was last year’s KFC SuperCoach NRL champion, Penrith superfan Tim Moodie, who selflessly donated the bulk of his $50,000 winnings to his younger sister, who is battling breast cancer.
KFC SuperCoach NRL is an easy-to-play fantasy football game, with players this year competing not just for the $50,000 main prize, but also for the chance to lay their hands on the inaugural KFC SuperCoach Holy Grail.
