Flying winger Will Warbrick has reached for the clouds to save the Melbourne Storm’s season, and book a preliminary final date with Penrith.
With two minutes left on the clock and the Storm staring at a one-point deficit in a do-or-die semi final against the Sydney Roosters at AAMI Park on Friday night, Warbrick soared over Roosters winger Junior Pauga to take a game-saving catch and successfully reach for the tryline.
The Storm stole victory from the jaws of defeat 18-13 after the James Tedesco-inspired Roosters had taken the lead for the first time on the back of a Sam Walker field goal with eight minutes to go.
