St George-Illawarra Jersey Flegg player Stevenson ‘Stevie’ Upulasi died after his car had left the road and travelled down an embankment at Sandy Point.

Upulasi was a hugely popular figure among his peers and who excelled as a talented front-row forward.
A member of the Gymea Gorillas junior rugby league club, Upulasi was selected in Cronulla’s Harold Matthews Cup team in 2017 and 2018 before joining the Dragons in 2019.
With the world at his feet, Upulasi joined the Dragons’ Under-20’s squad this year.
Members of the Dragons under-20’s squad were informed of the devastating news on Tuesday with grief counselling offered to the group during a meeting on Wednesday evening.
The Dragons and Sharks will observe a moment’s silence before Saturday’s local derby at Netstrata Jubilee Stadium.
