Harry Grant has thrown a scare through the Maroons after missing their first training session due to illness.
It’s not Origin without a pre-game injury or illness saga and Grant became the first casualty of the 2024 campaign when he failed to appear at Queensland’s maiden session at Red Hill on Tuesday.
Amid light rain, Grant was nowhere to be seen, with the Storm and Queensland hooker reportedly battling a stomach bug just 24 hours after arriving in Camp Maroon ahead of Origin I next Wednesday night.
The Maroons remain confident Grant will make a full recovery as they chase a hat-trick of Origin titles this season.
Queensland fullback Reece Walsh confirmed Grant was under the weather.
“Harry is a bit crook the little fella,” Walsh said.
“He is all good.
“We saw him this morning, I think he is just resting up.
“He might be floating around somewhere, it might be a little tactic, he’s a bit crook.
“It would be good to let him have a rest today.”
