Signings tracker: Jackson Ford agrees to new deal as Warriors continue off-season re-signing spree

The Warriors have continued their off-season signing spree with a key forward inking a new deal to stay with the club.

NRL’s Decision Looms: What’s Next for Mam After Crash?

The Warriors have continued their strong retention drive with Jackson Ford the latest player to re-sign with the club after he inked a new deal that will keep him there until at least the end of the 2027 season.

Try-scoring machine Dallin Watene-Zelezniak signed a two-year extension just last week, while Chanel Harris-Tavita and young gun Ali Leiataua have also agreed to new contracts with the club this month.

Ford struggled for opportunities at the Dragons in his first four years in the NRL but has played 43 games in his two seasons with the Warriors, with a knee injury cutting short his 2024 campaign.

“Coming to the Warriors has been a great career move for Jackson,” Warriors general manager recruitment, pathways and development Andrew McFadden said.

“He immediately impressed with his work ethic and attitude, establishing himself as a first-choice back rower for us over the last two seasons.”

The Gerringong Lions junior predominantly played on the edge before he shifted to the middle midway through the season where he punched out big minutes in the front row.

There’s a chance he stays in the front row alongside key signing James Fisher-Harris who is expected to lift standards at the club to get them back in the finals after an underwhelming 2024 campaign.

“Jackson has been terrific from the moment he arrived at the club,” Warriors coach Andrew Webster said.

“He works so hard every minute he’s on the field and competes on everything. The longer and harder a game gets, the better Jacko gets.”
