MANLY star Dylan Walker has been ruled out for six weeks with a fractured eye socket.

The star Sea Eagles player was injured when he was punched by Melbourne centre Curtis Scott in Manly’s controversial 24-4 NRL win over the Storm at AAMI Park.

The injury is a massive blow to Manly, who had likely planned on shifting Walker back to the centres after the signing of Trent Hodkinson last week.

Scott faces a minimum two-game NRL ban for the punch after he was charged with a grade-three striking offence.

The charge would normally mean a three-game suspension but a demerit points deduction for minutes already missed after being sent off means it will be reduced to two with an early guilty plea.

It’s understood Melbourne will not contest the charge, which would draw a three- game ban if unsuccessful at a hearing.

Manly hooker Apisai Koroisau faces one-match ban for a retribution punch on Scott.

If Koroisau attempts to fight the ban and fails at the judiciary, he would miss two games.

Meanwhile, Beau Scott’s season is over and his career remains in doubt after scans confirmed the Parramatta forward had suffered a serious knee injury.

The off-contract veteran limped from the field in the Eels’ 10-point loss to the Warriors at ANZ Stadium on Friday night.

Scans over the weekend confirmed that Scott had ruptured his left anterior cruciate ligament, ruling him out for the remainder of the season.

The 34-year-old has played 243 NRL games but has battled a number of injuries in recent years.

He overcame an originally season-ending bicep injury to play in last year’s finals.

He was returning from a shoulder problem on Friday night.

“Beau has been an integral part of the Parramatta Eels Club and we will fully support him in his recovery,” the Eels said in a statement on Sunday.

Renowned as one of the toughest players in the competition, Scott won a premiership with the Dragons in 2010 and has also played for Cronulla and Newcastle.

The second-rower played a pivotal role in NSW’s 2014 State of Origin series win and played three Tests for Australia.

In other big injury news in Round 11:

* Newcastle’s halves problems have deepened with Brock Lamb to miss up to a month with a fractured cheekbone. To make matters worse for Nathan Brown’s out-of-sorts NRL side, prop Jacob Saifiti will miss the next three months with a fractured shoulder;

* Prop Korbin Sims has undergone surgery for a broken jaw in another crushing injury blow for the Broncos. Sims will miss four to six weeks after his sickening collision with Roosters enforcer Dylan Napa.

* Bulldogs Josh Morris failed to finish the match against Cronulla after injuring his knee. Raymond Faitala-Mariner (knee) was a pre-game withdrawal

* Dragons forward James Graham left the field after copping a knee to the back but returned to the game

* Raiders forwards Josh Papalii (high shot) and Joe Tapine (shoulder charge) were both placed on report

* The injury-hit Maroons have received a boost with chief Queensland and Cowboys enforcer Matt Scott on track for Origin I after being cleared of major knee damage;

* Rabbitohs star Sam Burgess (glute) and fullback Alex Johnston (hamstring) failed to finish their game against the Cowboys;

* Jack Bird’s nightmare season at the Broncos has continued with the struggling big-name recruit sidelined ahead of Brisbane’s clash with the Roosters. Bird has attempted to play through the pain barrier for the past eight weeks but the NSW Origin utility has finally succumbed to a sternum injury that has plagued him since the pre-season;

* The Broncos have suffered another shattering injury blow. Teenage prop sensation Payne Haas requires surgery on his dislocated shoulder and could miss the rest of the season.

Brisbane have been tight-lipped about the severity of Haas’ injury but The Courier-Mail has revealed the boom 18-year-old must go under the knife.
