BLAKE Austin has received “positive results” on his ankle injury and could be back as early as this week.

Austin was helped off by trainers after being injured while scoring Canberra’s second try late in the first half of Sunday’s loss to Cronulla.

The off-contract five-eighth is set to be named for the Raiders’ Round 11 clash with the Dragons and will be given every chance of proving his fitness.

In other injury news from Round 10:

* Giant Manly forward Taniela Paseka will miss up to four weeks with an ankle injury.

* Broncos forward Alex Glenn faces a month on the sidelines while the immediate future of highly-rated teenager Payne Haas is unknown. Glenn (knee) is eying a June 10 return against Melbourne and Haas will see a specialist after fully dislocating his shoulder in the loss to Manly.

* North Queensland’s year threatens to go from bad to worse with big-name recruit Jordan McLean in danger of missing the entire season, while Shaun Fensom (elbow) and Ben Hampton (ankle) picked up injuries in the loss to Wests Tigers.

* The injury-hit Titans can’t take a hit. Captain Kevin Proctor (groin) headlines five new additions to the casualty ward from Saturday night’s loss to Melbourne. Jarrod Wallace, Will Matthews and Jack Stockwell all suffered head knocks while Keegan Hipgrave played on with a wrist. Hipgrave has since been cleared of injury.

* In some welcome good news for Gold Coast, coach Garth Brennan says Jai Arrow (ribs) is set to return in Round 11.

* Melbourne skipper Cameron Smith has been suspended for a week for a “wishbone” tackle, while teammate Sam Kasiano has also copped a one-match ban.

* Storm halfback Ryley Jacks was also ruled out of the Titans clash with concussion.

* Warriors hooker Issac Luke was a late withdrawal after failing to recover from a shoulder injury

* Eels co-captain Tim Mannah will miss up to a month with a fractured eye socket, while Kaysa Pritchard (groin) also missed Friday’s clash against the Bulldogs.

* Panthers halfback Nathan Cleary (knee) has been cleared to return for Penrith’s clash against Wests Tigers on Thursday night

* Canberra suffered a key injury blow in the lead-up to their match against Cronulla, with off-contract forward Junior Paulo (foot) facing up to 10 weeks on the sidelines.

* Dragons forward Jack De Belin played only 27 minutes after failing to train all week because of a hip pointer injury. However coach Paul McGregor bizarrely refused to clarify what the aspiring Blues back-rower had injured. “I can’t tell you that,” McGregor said. “It’s on his body.”

* Sharks skipper Paul Gallen failed to recover from a knee injury in time for Cronulla’s clash with Canberra, while teammate Jason Bukuya is in hospital on a drip.
