A month out from an historic test against England in Las Vegas, Jillaroos players are anxiously waiting for preparations to be locked in after the last minute axing of their Gold Coast camp over the weekend.
A group of around 24 players with flights and accomodation booked were due to arrive on the Gold Coast on Saturday morning for a whirlwind camp ahead of their March 1 clash at Allegiant Stadium.
From this group, a squad of 21 was to be selected for the one-off test against England, which is to be played between the NRL season-opening games to American audiences for the first time.
However, the camp was suddenly called off on Friday night, hours before players were due to board flights causing panic through the squad.
The explanation given was due to unforeseen circumstances, however, there has been no more assurances or information offered and players are beginning to worry if the game will go ahead at all.
Those concerns are unfounded given the broadcast schedule is locked in, but there is yet to be confirmation of a rescheduled camp, or possible meet up for players before they arrive in Las Vegas in late February.
Behind the scenes the Rugby League Players Association has also asked for further details and timelines to allow players to plan and be available for selection if required.
The camp was set to be the first time the players had assembled as a team after winning the Pacific Cup in November.
They thrashed New Zealand 24-4 in the decider in Sydney, with players from the final expected to make up the bulk of the Vegas squad.
Their clash with England is the first time the two countries have faced off in a test since the 2017 World Cup.
It will air at 1:15pm AEDT on March 2 in Australia.
