Chris Gayle’s retirement from international cricket at age 42. Gayle played 453 matches for 14,321 runs in all forms. He hit 98 sixes in Tests — behind only Brendon McCullum (107) and Adam Gilchrist (100). Shame he’s not coming to Australia for the Big Bash.

Sharks new signings Dale Finucane and Nicho Hynes have only six weeks to wait before they play against their old club Storm next year. And Cronulla fans can pack their bags for an Easter weekend in Melbourne. It’s a round six match on Easter Saturday at AAMI Stadium.

The Wests Tigers might be playing Melbourne Storm in round one next year but the timing is perfect. Storm will be without suspended stars Brandon Smith, Cameron Munster and Harry Grant. Last season the Wests Tigers knocked over the Panthers when they were without their Origin stars.
