Paul Gallen hires lawyer after Spudd Carroll’s comments on Sharks peptide scandal
Paul Gallen has clearly lost none of his taste for a fight, threatening legal action after Mark “Spudd” Carroll criticised the Cronulla legend for his part in the Sharks’ peptide scandal.

Channel 9 commentator and Cronulla Sharks legend Paul Gallen has hired a lawyer and threatened legal action against former enforcer Mark “Spudd” Carroll.
The two NSW Blues heavyweights exchanged furious verbal blows last week during a debate on radio and later in a private phone call over Bronson Xerri’s steroids ban.
Carroll received a warning letter from Brydens Lawyers on Friday.
The pair have recently traded insults, including Carroll accusing Gallen of lacking leadership during the Sharks’ 2011 peptides scandal.

A furious Gallen rang Carroll to thrash it out then hung up on him. The next day he hired his lawyer.
Carroll declined to comment when contacted by The Sunday Telegraph.
Gallen said he had been instructed by his lawyers to say nothing.
Another former Blues front-rower, Steve ‘Blocker’ Roach, says he would like to see the pair move on.
“Both are paid to have opinions but I don’t like it when it gets personal,” Roach said.
“Both of them are very strong willed but I’d like to see them sort it out because it can put people in awkward positions. I really like both of them.
“If we’re all in the same room we should be having a beer together, especially around Origin time.”
