HIGHLIGHT
Saturday night was painful to watch for Cronulla Sharks fans. Butchering an 18-4 lead with 20 minutes remaining was hard to take. At the same time the performance of teenage wonder boy Sam Walker was something else. This youngster is a turnstile clicker. It doesn’t matter who you follow, you just want to watch him play rugby league.

LOWLIGHT
The Channel 9 4pm Sunday game next weekend is the Bulldogs v the Cowboys. What a rubbish game of football between two bottom-of-table teams. Whoever programmed this game in an important timeslot has absolutely no idea.
FLYING HIGH
AFL ratings for the Sydney Swans have gone gangbusters on the back of four straight wins. Their figures for Thursday night’s win over Essendon were up 30 per cent on the same round in 2019. Overall the Swans’ numbers are up 25 per cent on Fox Footy this season.
SPOTTED
Aussie cricket legend Allan Border enjoying a beer in the public bar at the Coogee Bay Hotel on Wednesday afternoon.
PODCAST: Buzz, Mick and Mobbsy pay tribute to the late, great Tommy Raudonikis, celebrate Jake Friend’s career, try to fix the Bulldogs and Buzz vows to critique Mick’s radio credentials ... and of course, towards the end of this episode, everyone’s favourite segment - Thursday night food orders.

Things are looking positive for Mitchell Pearce in rebuilding his relationship with partner Kristin Scott following the cancellation of their wedding. Kristin turned up to watch his 300th game in Newcastle two weeks ago and is helping him in recovery from his latest surgery.
TRY BONUS
Manly sponsor Jason Stenning (Industree Group) left Central Coast Stadium a happy man on Friday night. Not only did his beloved Sea Eagles scrape home with the win, but after forking out $5,900 on a private suite, Jason won $6,000 on Jason Saab as first try scorer with PointsBet from a $500 bet.
HISTORY HAZE
South Sydney’s official historian Brad Ryder needs a lesson of history. On social media over the weekend Ryder mentioned some of the people who saved the South Sydney Rabbitohs when they were kicked out of the competition in 1999. No mention of the man most responsible … the great George Piggins.
