It’s devastating news for Taylor, who underwent her third shoulder reconstruction in the offseason as well as ankle surgery after playing hurt throughout the 2023 season.

She has been plagued with injury throughout her short career.

It’s also a blow for the Sharks who have started the season with back-to-back wins.

Jillaroos and NSW star Emma Tonegato has been named on an extended bench after suffering a calf injury in the warm up last week.

Coach Tony Herman has been forced to name Tiana Penitani in the No.1 jersey to face Canberra on Sunday.

Queensland Origin star Sophie Holyman has been named as starting prop for the Raiders despite fears of a serious biceps injury.

Meanwhile, all three New Zealand Rugby 7s converts have been named in squads across the weekend.

Stacey Waaka has been named in the centres for the Broncos when they take on the Titans on Sunday, which is an added boost with five-eighth Gayle Broughton named to play her first game of the season.

The Knights have named Tenika Willison on an extended bench to face the Dragons on Sunday night, who have also named Tyla King in the reserves.

All three arrived in Australia this week after a gold medal winning performance in Paris.

The Dragons have also promoted rising star Kasey Reh to the starting No.9 jersey after a blistering start to her NRLW career.
